Saturday Night's Main Event fallout
July 17, 2006
Tonight in San Antonio, Texas, RAW will be left to sort through the fallout of Saturday Night's Main Event.
DX will kick things off tonight, but there’s no telling what pranks they’ll be this week. If recent history is any indication, it’s fair to say it’ll be at the expense of Mr. McMahon and the Spirit Squad. Mr. McMahon will be out to stop DX with more fervor than ever after being humiliated at Saturday Night’s Main Event when DX locked him in a ringside holding cell after dominating the Spirit Squad.
Just two days after Saturday Night's Main Event battle with WWE Champion Edge, John Cena must go one on one with Umaga. Can Cena recover from the fallout of Saturday Night's Main Event and defeat the Samoan Bulldozer? Tune into the USA Network at 9/8 CT and find out.
Speaking of championships, Shelton Benjamin and Carlito will face off to determine who will be the number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship. Both men’s athleticism should shine tonight since they have both publicly said they should be champion. Nitro won the championship from Benjamin after pulling Carlito off the former champ and getting the pin for himself.
Also, one of the finalists in the 2006 $250,000 Diva Search Contest will be eliminated. The fans have voted, and someone will be sent packing. Who will be the first contestant to depart?
Tune into Monday Night RAW at 9/8 CT on USA Network to find out all the answers.

I enjoyed RAW and thought this episode was a good show.
I would have liked to see the Carlito and Benjamin match go on longer -- but with Cena and DX being the main angles of the night I understand why it was so short.
Mick Foley's promo's were excellent and the no matter how many times he says there won't be a rematch -- there will be a rematch with Flair at SummerSlam.
DX was better last night because they finally looked vulnerable and I was buying that the McMahons and the Spirit Squad were finally going to get a win -- I was a surprise that DX came back.
Surprisingly, Cena vs. Umaga turned out to be the match of the night. Umaga finally had a match where he had to wrestle and Cena looked great.

^ditto to everything said above.
I thought this was the best Raw in quite some time.
They let Shelton and Carlito show how a match is supposed to go. double ditto about wishing it could have gone longer.
The Highlanders are looking like they could be a really good team, and a GREAT addition to Raw. They had really good team chemistry in their match, and they are entertaining as hell.
Both Cena and Umaga had their best performance to date - and I'd be saying that even if Cena had won the match.
MacMahon tried to snare DX, but found HHH ready and waiting - waiting for the opportunity to bring his best friend ever into the action
PLEASE get this to Vince and the creative team:
Put Malina and Lita (if her body is up to it) in singles competition.
Trish, Victoria, Mickie James, Lita and Melina are a GOOD start to building a truly solid Women's Championship division - it could possibly be the best women's division we've ever seen.
And if they were to bring back Molly Holly, and when Beth Pheonix recovers from her injury, we could really have some stellar women's title matches.
Candice and Torrie Wilson need to stick with being bimbo characters, and comedy matches only, because they both are horrible in a serious wrestling match.
(if they hire me and let me have creative control over the Women's Division, I PROMISE I could help rebuild it to a classy, competitive, CHAMPIONSHIP division. And I do mean classy, not skanky or slutty)

I miss Rosy and Jamal. Three Minute Warning was assome. Uncle Eric? Where are you? Anyways, I loved RAW. Cena-Umaga...awesome but if Umaga isn't ever going to grab the mic I doubt he'll ever hold the WWE championship. DX was again fantastic but where's other members? Who are they fight against just Vince, Shane, and some male cheerleaders. Vince needs security guards some kind of tough "Corporation" gimmick if things are going to be re-hashed again. I don't see the relevance of DX if they always win. Kind of like watching Golberg run through all of WCW, ugh.

I want to see Kane,Chris Masters,Tyson Tomko you know different people instead of the same everyday. I know I could live without seen John Cena for a couple of weeks.
