I was wondering that since it turned out that Alana was the terrorist but not really and her and Gary Navarro had to leave will she be taken off the show for a while?

I really hope so, because if you stop showing all female characters except motherly Diana, crazy Isabelle, and commanding Nina, the show will go downhill really fast. We're already missing Lily and Maia (they just don't show her anymore), they can't take anyone else.

Actually, they've left it wide open. She wasn't killed, nor was Gary. They killed Lilly and Jordan, but Jordan will be back. This is kinda a wierd way they have with characters on this show. You really never really know if someone is gone or not. Kyle is in jail, or off the show, who knows? I'm not a big fan of the Alana character, I think it was not well developed. However, it seemed they were doing more with it, and now she's gone? Just like that poof! That seems a bit awkward, doesn't it? Again although I don't like the character, now there will be this hole in the show as she was a character you expected to see week to week. Perhaps her departure is becuase Karina Lombard is returning to season 4 of Showtime's The L Word? They have 4 more episodes in the "can" with the final 2 as "to-be-announced". I wonder if they were waiting to see what her availability would be and decided to move her out of the show as a precautionary measure. She's now in that mystery space where too many characters on the show now are (Kyle, Collier, where's Shawn's brother, Lilly's dead, etc.)

I think your supposition about Karina Lombard's appearance in the L Word is correct. Her exit from the L Word at the end of Season 2/start of Season 3, wasn't very definitive either. One character said she went back to Europe, another said she attempted suicide.
I was introduced to Karina in Season 1 of the L Word and quickly became a fan. Not only as an attractive woman but as an accomplished actor. I am sorry to see her leave The 4400, and certainly hope she returns, but I am interested in how her "Marina" character will be developed in Season 4 of the L Word. (Who, by the way should take note of how well written the 4400 is. Seasons 2 & 3 of the L Word had nowhere near the intelligence or the "wow factor" of Season 1).

I believe both will be back, because i think there's a purpose for the two people whose ability is to delve in the minds of others are on the run together,(my theory) if they are able to acquire some of each others ability when they return they could be very powerful, for instance Alana could read minds like Gary without physical contact, and send some people off to la la land, likewise for Gary whose mind reading skill was passive now with Alana's skill could become offensive in nature..., just having some fun with this theory, I think both will be back

I was thinking that too, Ebonwolf. Two people with very subtle mental powers together could wreak havoc on an unsuspecting person. No more guessing, "How would you react if <something bad happens>?" They get to know for sure and use this against whomever they choose.

I like your theory..could be very powerful. I definitely think they both will be back before the end of this season.
