Well, I'll help out a bit.

This stop for the Nashville Star Tour, and specifically CHRIS, was in Bessemer, Alabama at an amusement/water park. The heat index was well over 100 degrees but the fans were eager and began to line up at 4:00. I sought out the die-hard Chris fans or they found me and we recruited new fans before the show.

The meet and greet started at 7 and I have to give road manager Greg credit for running things smoothly and treating the fans with respect and consideration. I watched him from the sidelines and was impressed when he took several pictures for fans, not only the "say cheese" posed pic with Chris, but a few candids as they were chatting with Chris. He earned several Brownie points with me and the fans.

The other 3 opened for Chris, which I won't go into because this is Chris's forum. Chris warned me earlier in the day that I was really going to like his show that night because in his own words, "the body roll is back". That alone was like music to my ears and I wished all the charter fan club members could be there to reminisce. When Chris first came on stage he mentioned that lots of fan club members were there and he thanked them for coming to the show. (I love him when he does things like that!) I know he had fans from South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, and Tennessee.

He came out on stage hotter than a firecracker singing REAL GOOD MAN with the promised body rolls included for visual effect. He worked the stage, he worked the audience and he definitely delivered! He sang to the girls, he took their hands, shook the guys' hands, and had them all singing along on several occasions.

Among the other selections in his set were SWINGIN', FLOWERS, BEER OR GASOLINE, FOREVER AND EVER AMEN, YOU'RE GONNA LOVE ME, DRINKIN' ME LONELY, and he closed with KEEP YOUR HANDS TO YOURSELF.

Regardless of the heat, young girls and women were plastered to the stage front to be closer to the main event--CHRIS YOUNG! He reminded the audience that his single is at radio and asked that everyone please request it.

The tour's next scheduled stop is Winter Park, Florida so they were going to have to leave right out from Bessemer that night. While the equipment was being loaded, Chris took another opportunity to see the fans who missed out on the earlier meet and greet. He stayed as long as he could and talked to every person who wanted to see him.

Although the venue was HOT, Chris proved to be even HOTTER. Thank you for such a great show, Chris! Thanks to all the fans who withstood the miserable weather and showed their true support!

There really isn't anything to add other than an apology to Chris. During the M&G before the show I wrapped my arm around him and gave him a hug, promptly followed by me saying "Oh, ick!" LOL He was absolutely soaking wet due to the heat. I'm not certain that was the response he was looking for and told me I wasn't allowed to pick on him (he was teasing...I think. LOL). Sorry, Chris.

Chris was absolutely on fire! Not only did he do the body roll during Real Good Man, but he threw in another one later in the show by popular demand of the ladies at the stage.

One of the best things that took place off the stage was introducing a new Chris fan to his live show. One of the young ladies I was with, Rebecca, has seen Chris a few times and met him a couple of years ago during his Borders tour. She has been hooked ever since and talks him up to all of her college friends. This time she did more than talk and invited along her friend Ashlee. Ashlee has only seen Chris on NS and heard stories from Rebecca. Saturday was her first Chris show. Between the amazing hug Chris gave her during the M&G before the show, which Greg caught on her digital camera (excellent work!), the body roll he performed at the request of Rebecca and Ashlee, and then coincidentally running into him at the hotel where they went to change before heading to Florida, I think Ashlee is in love. LOL The two girls bubbled on for hours afterward, it was a lot of fun.

Lee Turner, keyboard player, I am going to take home myself. LOL I met him the previous week in Ft. Myers and he was so nice. Then, Friday night, he took the time to stop and talk for quite a while with the group I had gone to the concert with and was incredibly friendly then too. Not to mention, he's an awesome keyboard player! He told us he's taking pictures that will be posted on the tour page at 2006 NS Tour , but the link isn't there yet (I just checked). He is taking pictures from the stage when he has a chance, so it will be fun to get a view from a different perspective.

So far, two shows in two states and 2,200 round trip miles covered. I won't tell you how many more are left to go, and I was originally planning on only one show, whichever was the closest. LOL It's all Chris's fault, if he weren't so darn good and nice I wouldn't have so many friends who want to see him, and of course I can't let them go by themselves. I am going to send him a bill for some of the expenses though.

Thanks Teri! It sounds like a great show! I am still hoping I can make it to the Vegas show! Its not looking so good, but I am still trying! The hospital wont allow me to take holidays at that time so I have to try and find people to do shift changes with, which isn't easy!
I love hearing about all the shows and seeing pictures. Keep them coming everyone!

Wonderful reviews, gals! I can't wait till my show tonight!! Thank goodness it's indoors!! I feel for you gals - I've been to quite a few of those outdoor summer shows and it's painfully hot!
