I don't know if this would help, but U.S. dvd players can be as cheap as 30 or 40 dollars. Maybe you could order one and season 4 of Monk and just plug it into an adapter. I guess it just depends on how desperate you are to see more Monk. Since your euro is enjoying a pretty healthy exchange rate, it might not be too expensive. Hope this helps.

However...at that price, the U.S. DVD player needs to be battery operated (i.e. portable) or else the DVDs won't play properly (i.e. too slow) directly off a U.K. to U.S. adapter because of the difference in AC cycles ( 60/sec. in U.S. vs. 50/sec. in U.K.).

That's interesting. I didn't know about the trouble with speeds between the two. There are international dvd players, but probably nobody would want to buy one of those for just one dvd set.
