sorry if I don't use the correct tools the first time - I'll get the hang of it
I was really looking forward to the return of the 4400 but I have to say the show left something to be desired - at least for me.
I adored Richard and Lily and am not very happy about Lily being axed. This show (and Mona Lisa Smile made me a Laura Allen fan (although I never cared for her character, Laura, on All My Children) and I was all geared up to see her again!
Hopefully her pilot will be picked up - she has great comedic timing and I'm glad she's got something in the wings.
Guess I'l give the show a few more episodes, but right now Isabelle is kinda creeping me out...and wasn't she blonde when she was really a baby?? Guess I zoned out if that was explained in the episode...good thing I recorded it.

Hello!
Isabell was not blond when she was born...I'm not super positive and I don't mean to be blunt but black babies can't be born with blond hair...
Isabell somewhat bothers me because her brain hasn't caught up with her body...but I like her she's been on all my favorite tv shows...which is kind of creepy to me...
The 4000
That 70's Show
Supernatural
Buffy The VP Slayer...
And whats even more weird is...I just started watching the 4400 towards the end of the second season...like the last 2 episodes...then i watched marathons and then i just bought the 1st and 2nd season to catch up...
But I don't like Lily...well she was sweet but she seemed paranoid all the time...that really bugged me...

I am used to people I like on shows leaving and the great things being changed the way you don't like them. As long as you keep watching you will find someone new to like and begin to like the others more. All you have to do is stick with it.

you have your opinions we have ours, me i liked lilly, her daughter is weird right now, as someone pointed out in another post, when Is was little, she did feel & go by instinct to help her mother. Now Lilly is gone. Yes african americans or at least children who are 1/2 & 1/2 can be born w/ blonde hair, my cousin had twins, both had blonde at birth then one started changeing, the other stayed blonde, more like a dishwater blonde, & still is today.

I grew up in Southern California so have seen all kinds of couples and I can say, yes, if two black people have a baby I've yet to see one with blonde hair. However, as soon as you make one of the parants white, then all bets are off. Primarily because the child ISN'T BLACK but is MIXED-BLOODED.
The child can be anything from black with kinky hair to white skinned, blue eyes and blonde hair. A black friend of mine in high school had a cousin born with red hair (Wasn't Melcolm X---another mixed-blood---also born with red hair). In case you're wondering, yes, in Santa Barbara, sometime in the early 90's, I saw such a blonde headed blue eyed mixed blooded girl. Her sister also had blue eyes, with auburn hair.
Look at Jennifer Baels. While her hair is dark and her eyes are brown, she could go anywhere in the world and say she was white and no one would know she comes from a Black/White couple, which she does. She's not nearly alone in being the type of her kind of kid to come out of a Black/White union.
Ya gotta quit thinking of mixed-blooded babies as being black babies and start putting the white part in the equation. They're mixed-blooded.
New day. New way of thinking.

Just wanted to add that Wentworth Miller (Michael Scofield on Prison Break) is another person you might not think is from mixed race parents.

Hi..I'm new as well..I didn't want to like start new thread so I decided to contuine on with this one.
Well I just recently tuned into the 4400 and I gotta say I am loving it.
Since my Invasion on ABC was cancelled I needed a new Sci-Fi series to watch and got pulled into this one. I only started watching the end of Being Tom Baldwin..but I was quickly drawn in probably due to the fact that Shawn and Isabelle are cute together.
So yeah as you can tell I"m into Shawn and Isabelle then anyone else since I don't really know the entire back story of each character. I did go and read up on them.
I am enjoying this series and I look forward to posting here more and discussing about the series.

I must admit to not knowing about Slash, Channing Tatum and Vin Diesel. Thanks to both of you for the new info
Just as many good folk aren't aware that you can get a completely white looking baby from a White/Black mating, a whole bunch of racists are also clueless and over the years---when it came to mind---I would think about all the possible situations throughout history where some racist did favors for some mixed-race person because they looked completely white
It is not impossible for this to have happened:
Perhaps her battery is dead or needs a tow or some other reason for this white looking mixed-race female to enter the racist bar and I like to think that one of the slime in the bar is drunk and is coming on strong trying to pick up on her, getting increasingly more aggressive. At some point either she asks for help or some guy in the bar (who wants her himself?) is just fed up with the other guy's manner, comes to her rescue and kicks his racist's buddy's butt, and going out and jump-starting her battery...
