Hi guys. I am new. I have been a HUGE fan of Bobby for a while. I just wanted to know...forgive me if this an old question....UM.... My aunt thinks he is gay beecause hes got all those wierd mannerisms. I need help. I keep telling her that he IS NOT gay! I love Bobby, and IM sick of her saying that! Can you post on here that he isnt gay...so that she can read it and SHUT UP. Im sick of her calling him Mr. Rainbow. PLEASE!
Hey welcome to the forum. Bobby isn't gay. I think the mannerism's are just part of his personality.

I know! I am too. Last night's eppy was pretty cool. I liked it when he put on his gangster voice with the one woman and started smoking cigarrettes...after stealing them from some poor kid....after saying he was going to play dodgeball with his head! I really enjoyed that because he kept making all these smart remarks, and Alex kept giving him really dirty looks! It was great! And then he said that he was only asking a question (after the woman yelled at him) and she said: theres nothing innocent about that baby face....I laughed SO hard. God I love CI!

Yes, I love that eppy too. Those scenes are both so funny. I love it when he feels the need to play a role. Like when he pretends to be stupid for some arrogant person who will unnkowingly show their hand because they think he is too stupid to understand. It is especially great when he just turns it off and the character is left realizing that he has just played them. He and Eames are great when they role play together. Sometimes he is so ridiculous that she doesn't even have to act. I really like the eppy with the murder of the abortion clinic doctor. He plays a disillousioned cop who really buys into the ultraconservative rhetoric of the movement. He makes Eames out to be some kind of power hungry, hard-nosed female cop.

Mt aunt read that and she laughed at the part when you said that Eames was made out to be a hardnosed cop. She said that she is. Also, I saw that eppy too. I liked the part where Eames is questioning him about his thoughts on abortion and he says: I'll tell you when I got pregnant. My aunt saw that when she still thought he was gay. BIG MISTAKE!! She laughed so hard she almost peed her pants!
How funny! That question is great! I love it that she doesn't let him get away with that. He manages to stumble through quite well. We all need choices. He's smart!

But he was pretty good at playing the "metrosexual" dude when he and Eames went to the shoe store , I was LMAO at that too!

Tell your aunt unless her idea of virile behavior consists solely of two grunts and a burp, she needs to expand her horizons a bit and learn to appreciate what "real men" are about.
Tell her hulking physiques coupled with mega little boy charm are not necessarily symbolic of gayness (tho of course I'm sure it's not exclusively a heterosexual thang).
Also tell her well-read, witty detectives with varied interests who also play power forward don't usually come wrapped in rainbows either.
Tell her characters who spring from playful to dead serious in a nanosecond, can comfort a child or chill the blood of a criminal are kinda sexy, whatever their orientation. And when they have that adorable baby face, even more so.
There is nothing V D'O has done with this delicious character that is remotely effeminate. Unless of course, yout aunt saw that Pas de Deux final dance scene... ha ha!
