I had a Bailey. Don't remember if I named her after the liqueur or the girl on WKRP in Cincinnati.

I had a litter of pups, well I didn't have the litter but my dog did...all the pups were named after some type of drink. Bristol Creme, Vodka Collins, Champagne Lady are the three that were registered, I haven't got a clue why they had these names except we were calling one of them Collin and his sister wore a pink ribbon to mark her birth position and we called her Pink which later was changed to Champagne and the rest were sold as pets who were registered as some kind of drink.

I like how creative lineage can be when they combine.
I knew someone who used Spanish names for her cats (Maine Coon). That's not so creative but they had pretty names.

Some breeders really get carried away using themes, the alphabet and other gimmicks when naming their litters. It's a crazy dog world. My friend who raised and bred Kees with me had all her dogs AKC names end with 'tion', i.e., her kennel name was Woffee so a dog would be named something like Woffee At Attention, By Selection, Standing Ovation, etc. Another Kees breeder had the kennel name of KJ's and named all her dogs with names that had a 'kee' sound like 'KJ's Lace Bikeenee, Conkeestador, Moskeeto. Or they pick a theme like Easter, Christmas, a movie. It's a mad, mad, mad, mad world when dogs compete.
A customer has a Spinone Italiano called "Caruso", that one makes sense at least and my fellow employee has 3 cats named Chopin, Beethoven and Mozart. Chopin is so bad he has been nicknamed 'Osama bin Kitten', if there is something he can get into trouble over, he does.

Don't they try to keep some of the name from the other kennel that's crossed with it? That might be a fun theme in the other thread after this one, which is a great idea.
There was a Pom champion this or last year called Wicked Mean and Nasty (I think). Cute.

The owner of the dam gets their kennel name used then if another breeder wants to purchase or if the sires owner wants to take back a pup they can add their own kennel name.
For instance, my friend who had Woffee as her kennel name used my male for breeding so the pups we kept were called Woffee Brazen (my kennel name) Detonation but when I owned the dam and used her stud the pup was called Brazen Grand Baby Woffee - it's an unspoken agreement between the owners.
Making up names for breeds that didn't really fit the temperament would be fun, like the name for the Pom, or vice-versa.
I had a pup we called 'Quincy', when it came time to register him we named him, Brazen Witch Doctor, sort of a play on words from the old TV series 'Quincy, ME'.

HI kees!!!
We had a small, little fluff-ball dog early in our marriage that we named T.K.---for Trained Killer. She was a sweet, gentle dog who wouldn't hurt a flea, but people did get a chuckle out of thinking she was a killer.

I had a similar theme for my last litter of Italian Greyhounds. I named them after Italian Liquors:
Amaretto - male
Strega - female
Frangelico - male
Sambucca - male
Campari - male
