I remember last year.... and I thought that Erika Jo would go really big. However, the winner's single, "I Break Things," was really rushed.. and so was her entire album, which was recorded in only 11 days, and it sounded like it was rushed. She could've done very well, but was messed up with that. I hope that the producers of Chris take their time with him to make the perfect album with the perfect first single.. because Chris can not only go big, but go HUGE! I think they will take their time with him because the winner this year goes to RCA.. and those people don't like to screw around.

THAT MAKES TWO OF US, BUT I THINK THAT IS WHY THEY DIDN'T HAVE HIM PERFORM HIS SINGLE TONIGHT. MAYBE THEY ARE GOING TO TAKE THEIR TIME WITH HIM SO HE GETS THE RESPECT AND PLATINUM RECORDS AND THE TRUE STAYING POWER TO LAST IN THE BUSINESS UNLIKE THE PREVIOUS STAR WINNERS. THEY WANT TO DO IT RIGHT THIS TIME AND I THINK THAT IS THE SMART THING TO DO. MAKE HIM THE SUPERSTAR HE WAS BORN TO BE!!!!! YOU ROCK CHRIS.

They better take care of him! I've kinda been worried about that too. Chris is a really sweet kid and I don't want to see anyone mess with him in a way that would hurt him. I don't want to see that happen with anyone. Look what happened to Randy Travis. They nearly ruined that man.
Okay... Happy thoughts Happy thoughts and good prayers... He'll be fine.

There are many people who are still someone today who had a rough start because of a record company. We all know who Chris is, he already has a number of fans. I really do not think this is even an issue but you never know.

I agree I hope they don't mess him up by rushing him with the new Cd and the other things that go on behind the scenes that we don't know about.

I don't know Chris personally but I think he will be fine...he seems like he has a great head on his shoulders and he has been working with a band and has had the experience of working with a record company before so he knows what is expected and I think he will make sure it is done right. I am just so happy for him and wish him all the luck in the world...

Knowing Chris, even if they do screw him around, I think he can overcome it. I have had this concern since I knew he was trying out, but I have faith in him. He does have great drive. He lives, sleeps, breaths his craft.

I don’t think it’s likely that he will come to any harm. He seems to have a very sensible head on his shoulders and is himself studying the ins and outs of recording industry management in the spare time that he has, plus he has been in the music business for some time now.
Sincere congratulations, Chris, for your win of last night. In my opinion you have one of the best voices I have heard for a long time, a nicely developed sense of fun and the demeanour and performance abilities of a true artiste. Unlike most of the “Nashville Star” audience I had no geographical bias as I am English and living in New Jersey so no allegiance to Texas or Indiana or even Tennessee for that matter, just recognition of a fine voice and expectations of continued success. I can’t wait to find your CDs on the shelves of my local “Target.”
I will try to get other English trad. Music lovers to buy your output.
All the best.
