Nashville Star had hoped to produce an American Idol atmosphere for country music. The first season they had the touch, it was fun and exciting...since that time it has lost that magic. Although I enjoyed the first singles by later winners Brad Cotter and Erika Jo, it is not the same. Should they quit? No they should not. It is still a forum to find new and exciting talent. Being on USA does not help for the coverage of these stars and several years ago talk of moving to NBC popped up but never developed.
Phil Vassar is a good judge and the feel for the program...dump the lady and the guest judges they don't work. Find two judges that have a good fit and feel for the show.
By far in my mind Buddy Jewell will always be the Nashville Star, the others are ok, but not stars.
