I have been a die-hard fan of Matt's since he was 16. Obviously his dream is to become a great country artist. His first step was to gain exposure, starting at Tootsie's and then to the final 4 on NS. That is where he wanted to be, in the final 4. Alot of people took notice of his talent, alot of "big names" took notice, actually. I could name a few, not into name dropping. Although I feel very strongly that he should have made it into the top 3, he has been done a favor by being voted out. Point being, he is free to persue a contract of HIS choosing. To make his music the way HE wants too, not like some puppet on a string for the next however many years RCA signs them for. You mark my words, Matt will come out kick'n ass and takin names. And when his cd sales and concert sell out's surpass this year's NS or any NS up to this point, don't say that I didn't tell ya so.

I totally agree Nancy!
Like I said in another post on the forum..the NS contestants who have seen their careers soar are NOT the
actual NS Final Winner!
Matt has gained tremendous exposure from his appearance
on NS..and the door has now opened for him to continue to
live his dream to its fullest!
ENJOY THE JOURNEY MATT..THIS FAN WILL BE ALONG FOR 'THE RIDE'

I think you are correct. The murders on music road did Matt Mason a big favor by kicking him out of the competition. They knew Matt was a true rebel and would never kiss their asses so they got rid of him. I don't believe for one second that he was voted off by country music lovers. Matt get busy, I need another country music hero. I have been in love with George Jones and Merle Haggard since I was 10 years old and I know that you are of the same caliber. I will buy every cd with your name on it. I don't even bother with cmt, I listen all day long to the old style country classics. The true country artist not those puppet wanna be's on cmt.

Good Luck Matt and May God Bless all you do!

a true fan

i love matt I cant belive he is gone.

I believe Matt should have been in the top three, but i agree that he is gone for a reason. Some of the ones in the past that have been kicked off look where they are now. Matt has a place in Nashville waiting on him. I really still can't believe that Nichole is still there, but oh well. Matt has the look and sound of the real country music sound and he is great. Matt hurry and do your first album so i can be the first to buy it. He will for sure be back, his new home is in Nashville. Good luck Matt in your career and living your dream, and God bless you.

Well of course Nancy I know your are right. I too have been a Matt Mason fan for a long time, before he started seriously thinking about a professional career in music, and even then I loved to hear him play and sing. I've watched Matt grow up and he has wanted this for a long time, and I couldn't be happier for him.
You are right on it when you say he can persue his on contract, which most likely will be worth more than the RCA contract. Matt is on his way and he has so many fans now and will be sure to gain even more with his style of music.
I am so looking forward to seeing him perform again.
One of Matt's #1 fans (he does seem to have many)

Its for a year and I dont think that means sign your life away. True is has choice now but in the end a for sure thing record deal is in the best interest of those trying to get ahead here.

All my best to Matt as he was robbed by Nicole. He more than likely would have left this week as I really believe that Chris is the winner. God help me if its Nicolce!!! Thats all I have to say.
nancy714
Well, it's "for sure" that Erica Jo got a record deal about this time last year. I haven't seen or heard too much about her these past 12 months. Have you? Just wondering.

I totally agree with you. I am shocked that he is gone but I know that he has BIG things in his future, and I can't wait until he gets a signed deal, a single on radio, and his first record. I will definetly be in line to buy it the second it comes out. He is such an amazing artist and I believe that he is going to bigger than he would have if he would have stayed on the show. I hope that all his dreams come true. Now that he's gone I hope Chris wins and I hope that he has more success than the rest of the NS winners. He definetly deserves to be more than a one hit wonder, in my opinion. He definetly has too much talent to end up like that. He deserves to be as successful as I want and know Matt will be. They were my favorites from the beginning, and so was Jared. They were my top three.

Just wanted to say I've been Casey fan from the start but love Matt Mason (he was my 2nd favorite)...I grew up on his music/his voice. I am sorry he is gone but hopefully I will get to see him & Casey at one or two of their tours this summer. Had hoped maybe Jared would be in this group too.

I understand he is already doing some really cool things and I know he is going to be great success. Have you listened to his "demo" - has four songs on it and he did them when he was only 16!! Really great. I'm buying it and his show choices and Casey's too!

Another of Matt's #1 fans told me he is happy and busy!
I wish him the best and can't wait to see him & Casey in concert and the rest of the gang!
nancy714
Same here only oppisite Nana. Matt first and then Casey. I am so happy for Casey. I know that he say's that he is country, I don't dispute that but I feel that his true calling is to sing gospel. Goodness gracious....his performance last Tuesday sent chills down my spine. Which ever path he chooses, he will do great! As for Matt, yeah he has been busy. The Thursday following the show, he sang the National Anthem at the Pacer's game and then on to upstate New York to do a show with Joe Diffie. Someone had called me at work today to tell me that he had already signed a deal with a recording company but I do not know that for sure. I usually don't repeat anything unless I hear it directly from his mom but this did come from a reliable source. But again, I do not know this for a fact. I do know that he was in negotiation's the next day after last Tuesday's show. Right now he's lovin life and livin large! Much Luck to Casey. I have no doubt that he will be living his dream too, very soon.

Thanks Nancy714.
I heard he did an awesome job on the National Anthem & that is a difficult song to sing. It has been so butchered by others in the past.

I know Matt's already got it made. I say Congratulations to him for a job well done. At least he's in final four and will be going on tour. I'm sure looking forward to seeing them at one of their concerts.

Thanks for wishing Casey good luck. Yes, he does gospel songs great, but like he said Tues. he is a country singer. I have several of his cds & they are great. He's a country singer who can sing many types of music.

When you talk to his Matt's mom, tell her lots of us Casey fans think he is one fine young man. I hope he has already been signed!! How exciting.

Nancy I totally agree. I voted for Matt from day #1. I was and am so upset that they voted him off. Some people just don't have good taste in music. Matt, I know you are going places in life. Hang in and keep on keepin' on. You're on your way to the top with or without their deal. I'll be there when you come to my town and I'll be there to buy the CD's when they hit the shelves.
