I AM IN TOTAL SHOCK AND DISBELIEF THAT MATT IS GONE! FIRST JARED GOT SCREWED OFF THE SHOW AND NOW MATT. I REALLY DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT IN THE WORLD IS HAPPENING. DOES ANYONE HERE HAVE A CLUE?

Last night America got to see another murder on Music Row. Aside from the Nicole comments, which are entirely true, I think we should just call this show "The Chris Young Coronation." Whether Nashville needs Matt Mason or not, it is obvious that the remaining contestants have little draw for traditional fans. You can tell that Anastasia has been behind Chris all along, and really it's image America wants. I will not watch the season finale, just like the three previous seasons. After Brad Who?, Erica Joke, and sentimental favorite Buddy Jewell, we know it will probably be Chris Young.

As for Jared Ashley and Matt Mason, their authenticity is to be admired. Some of the best talent in country music is untapped in Austin, Kelly Willis, Robert Earl Keen, etc., and the same was true last night. I think Matt and Jared felt the show was a sham and a means to a promotional end, and it will pay off in the end.

Nicole, if she wins, will sound great on record with a slick producer, but one must remember that you can cut bologna with a diamond cutter, but it's still bologna.
I am done with the show. The world's full of stupid people and most of them sadly know how to dial toll free. It is a real shame that Chris has already won; sadder still is that I have to say I will never own one of his records. Period.

For those of you interested, Jody Evans will be playing Buddy Holly over the summer at the Clarksville, TN, Roxy Theatre. He was talented too, but not the right image for NS. I bet if you asked Nicole, Casey, or Chris about old artists like Don Williams, Ernie Ford, Jim Reeves, Carl Smith, Lefty Frizzell, they couldn't name one of their songs.

I can't speak for all them but my dad used to play for Jim Reeves and I know that Casey spent a many of day with my dad and I bet he knows them all and I bet he knows more about Jim Reeves than you do cause my dad loved to talk...lol...

But I do agree I loved Matt and Jared. Probably Jared more and I miss them being on the show. And I do feel like they had a place in the final four...

If that's the case, Casey could step up and sing an old Jim Reeves song next week. When Gentleman Jim, Merle Travis, and Hank Snow played at our Army base, all of us recruits felt like we were real friends of them all. Good for Casey that he isn't just another cut from the mold. I do forget that Casey did know Conway Twitty.

this is my post I know but I like Chris. My top three were Matt #1, Jared #2, and Chris #3. So now that they are both gone I hope that Chris wins. Casey has an amazing voice when he sings ballads, but Matt, Jared, and Chris can sing anything they want to me.

You are entitled to your opinion. I'm sorry you feel that way about Chris. Of all the contestants, he is probably the only one that could name most of the older guys as well as know their music. He grew up on it. Perhaps one of his favorites is Marty Robbins. Did you not hear his interview with Wynonna about Buck Owens? That was truly from his heart. I think there is room for all types and tastes in country music. I think all of the contestants went on the show with the goal of exposure for their music. I think they have all achieved that goal, no matter who "wins".

I am so upset with Nashville Star...Nicole SUCKS..but, then again (poor thing) she's 34, has 2 kids and is the oldest AND the worst!!! I swore I would NOT watch it this year..because of last years choice....I think that the judging needs to be different..The public is OBVISOUSLY picking according to favorites and NOT the best singer

I agree...I think the only reason she is up there is because she is a 34 old women with 2 kids....so all the house wife are voting her in...she can't sing or write...Feel the last three should have been Chris Young, Casey Rivers, and Jered Ashley or Melanie Torres...I feel the only reason she was let go is because these women that sit on the counch are getting tired of seeing a pretty girl with a good figure on TV...not the Nicloe is cow...But Melanie was alot better looking and better voice...But my vote...out of all of the rest goes to Chris young...GOOD LUCK.

I am SOOO Mad that Nicole is still there. WHAT is that about.. SHE SUCKS.. this is the worst season ever.. I am bummer Jared and Matt left, but we can only pray for the best.. Chris and Casey are AWESOME.. so I am glad I am not the only mad one..

By no means are you the only one mad. Funny how so many are upset with the results and feel something was wrong with Nicole making the final four let alone the final three with that crap "Bring on the Rain" she sang. OMG was that pitiful. Nicole fans rally that she had a bad song choice and I ask them if that was truly the case than why has it been more than one song she was pitiful with like her own original and second aren’t great even good singers good at singing no matter what the song choice? She is tone def and America knows it, but apparently "we" voted for her. We know she has a fan base and I hope that she does. I am sure she is an awesome person, wife, mother and friend.... but I am sorry, she should have never have been in the final four. What a lucky thing she is a female I guess because I really never thought that the show would have all guys in the end.

Chris and Casey are by far better singers than Nicole and I swear if Nicole wins like she has managed to for several weeks with help from "somewhere", I think we will all know what really happened. No matter what the results, I will not buy anything of Nicoles as she is just not talented enough. Chris Casey, matt and Yes Jared are all going to be around for a while. Much longer than Nicole that is for sure.
