It may not be a popularity contest, but if an artist's home town won't support them who will?? there's nothing wrong with their hometown fans and radio stations, businesses, whatever to rally behind their hometown contestants. You would think that if Jarod does as many shows as he says he does, then he would have acquired more fans than he has. Certainly more than Nicole has. Honestly, she's not my favorite, but obviously more people like her than Jarod. This is the way of the world and this business in particular. Get over it and move on. I'm sure Jarod has.

His name is spelled 'Jared' and I think the fact he does nothing but praise your Nicole in his last video blog would get him a little more respect than what you said.

Here's a tip for when an obnoxious poster comes on the board. There's an "Ignore" feature on this board that will let you ignore all their posts. You can just click the name of the poster, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click on "Ignore this poster". If the bashers don't get any response, it'll take away all their fun. I've used this feature and it cuts down on a lot of stress.

Yes I would agree.It also isn't a sympathy (MOMMY) contest.YOU ARE supposed to vote TALENT & she don't have it.Her vocals are weak,she gets pitchy at times & don't have a country look or feel to her..She is cute but thats it....Take your bow & put it to an end Nicole

Vote your favorite and be true? Whatever---someone watch her blog. She says "Us women have to stick together"---whatever. Then she tries to recant by saying vote for who has talent but it was too late by then cause she showed her TRU colors. Women didn't get where they are by playing the gender card. They fought long and hard for equality. But when you can't sing well to begin with and can't sing country a lick I guess equality is the enemy and you gotta go with what you got. All Nicole has or is ....well I can't say.

I really didn't think that I would ever get involved in the negativity of these postings, but I can't ignore the ignorance any more! It is sad that some people get so ANGRY over the outcome of a television show. Is there nothing else of substance in their lives? Also, stating that "Nashville Star" voting should be based strictly on singing talent is incorrect. If that were the case, Sara Evans' and Hank Williams, Jr.'s performances would not have made the cut. It is about "likeability", stage presence, star quality, etc. Talent alone is just a variable. No performer can be expected to be perfect every time. And lastly, for all you TRUE country fans, how much time do you spend listening to your Minnie Pearl CD's?

she does ok on the fast stuff, but sometimes she seems like a sheryl crow wanna be. the 3 guys are sooooo much more talented than her all around and matt should not have been voted off before her. i think she pulls a lot of votes because she is a female but aren't we supposed to be voting talent and not gender. but especially after anastasia made her comments about voting for "your girl" i am afraid she is hanging on because of gender not talent. please lets select the true winner on talent! think twice before you vote.

Do you actually think coming on Nicole's forum and asking people not to vote for her will have any effect whatsoever! Nicole's fans are very loyal and wouldn't vote for anyone else. No stranger will convince us otherwise.

This "female" crap is getting old. First people are saying that Nicole is getting all the votes from the women because of her being female. Then someone else says that all the other women were voted off because the majority of the fans voting are women and they are jealous or voting for a hot man. Will someone make up our minds? I got an idea. How 'bout I vote for Nicole because I like her and the rest of you vote for who you like because you want to. If you are that easily swayed by what other people are saying, then how 'bout "everyone vote for Nicole because I said to". Do you think that will work?

(at the time of this post)Out of 20 people responding to my little poll, 13 said they didn't vote for Nicole, 7 said they did because they like her singing, and NO ONE said they voted for her out of pity/judges comments/Wy standing up for sisterhood/etc.
The point is, if anyone watching the show has a favorite contestant, are they going to vote for their favorite, or 'waste' a vote on a different contestant even though they don't like that person's singing? It seems obvious to me that if Nicole is getting votes(and she must be since she IS in the final 3), that it's because people like her and are voting for her.

not a problem Glad you all had fun! I took Timothy back to Scoreboards this week after the show... let him get a little of the experience lol We didn't stay for the replay of the show though, that would have been a tad bit late of a night for us... did get to watch 2nd/3rd periods of the Preds/Sharks NHL playoff game, but that didn't turn out too well...

Nicole actually should be home watching this like me. She kills every song she sings. She has talent with a guitar. She is a mom. maybe she is good at that. She cant sing. How she even made it I will never know. She is horrible, So your right vote NO!! I personally like Chris, but Casey is awesome too. That is talent. Nicole cant carry a tune

Uhhh they were asking you not to vote for Nichole... not telling you! And you are right... you can vote for who you like... just like they can ask you not to vote for who they don't like. Personally, I think Nichole should've been gone a long time ago... Melanie was WAY better "in my opinion". Thank heavens I get my own opinion!!! You like Nichole... I think she's awful! I agree to disagree with you. You should be nicer, but yet I am only "suggesting, not telling you". Enjoy your day!!!!
