On RAW tonight Kane heard voices telling him that "it would happen again on May 19th. It happened before on May 19th and will happen again on May 19th and there is nothing that Kane can do about it." Does anyone know what the significance of May 19th is to "The Big Red Machine" Kane?

See No Evil, Kane's Movie, will open on May 19th and that is the main significance. WWE wants you to know the date of May 19th. However, from what I took of the promo's with Kane -- whatever it is that dominates his character in the Movie is what dominates about the May 19th reference. So far it's pretty unclear what that means.

i am thinking that may 19th is probably the day of "the fire", and the day Kane turned truly evil (i.e; his anniversary if evil monstrosity)
but that's just a guess.
if anyone doesn't know about "the fire" well then... well, i don't know what to say. lol.
I can't WAIT to see Kane on the big screen.
i hardly ever pay the price to see a movie at the theatre, but this will be one of those rare times... on may 19th!

That's a good thought. It just happens to be on the same day the movie gets released. Kane killed once in "real life" a.k.a. "The fire that killed his parents and he kills again on the big screen.

Yeah, but it was later mentioned that it was Undertaker who set the fire purposely.

Yes but Kane is the one who said that and Undertaker denied it and said that Kane set the fire.

Nope. If you recall carefully, this was mentioned in October of 1998. It was the Raw following the PPV Judgment Day, in which Austin was the special ref for the WWF Championship match between Taker and Kane. On that night, Paul Bearer returned and hit Kane with a chair and Taker turned on Kane. This made Taker a heel, and Kane a face. At the end of the match however, Austin did not make the three count for either guy, and instead was fired by Vince. At this time, the WWF Championship was still vacant (it would eventually be won by The Rock at the following PPV).
But getting to the point, the next night on Raw, since they wanted Taker to be a heel, he said that he set the fire that killed his parents and burned Kane's face. This was the same Raw that Austin kidnapped McMahon and made him piss in his pants in the ring. You should know this night well since you are a huge Stone Cold fan.

right.
the whole premise behind the intro of Kane, is that 'Taker had gone all that time thinking Kane (and the rest of his family) was dead.
Now, here comes Kane, out for revenge, so disfigured from the fire that he must be masked in public.
and if i remember correctly, Kane had been raised by Paul Bearer in secret - until the day he was ready to be unleashed on the WWF.

Since May 19th is a Friday, I think It was the day of "the fire" and Kane will show up on Friday night SmackDown to beat The UnderTaker up since he set the fire.

It's not like the WWE has changed history before -- but that storyline took place in October. Now, they could change it all. I have more of a feeling that it will all be around the character Kane plays in the Movie and something important about the movie's story happened on May 19th.

okay all you people saying it was Taker who set the fire, your wrong. on june 30th 2002 undertaker had an interview and made it perfectly clear that while undertaker was going to do his chores he had seen kane with the flammable chemicals and when he came back and he was being held back from going to see what had happened, but he knew what had happened and he carried the burden of knowing he couldve stopped it from happening.

I KNOW WHY MAY 19TH IS SO SIGNIFICANT TO KANE !!!!!!!!!!
IT'S NOT ABOUT THE FIRE, NOT ABOUT HIS PARENT'S DEATH.
IT'S ABOUT SOMETHING AND SOMEONE ELSE........

June 30th 2002 huh? That was a Sunday. Was this during the King of the Ring PPV? I'm wondering why the hell Taker would talk about Kane that night when he was set to defend the WWE Championship against Triple H. Luckily, I have that PPV on tape, and so when I watch it, and if I don't see that interview then you my friend are wrong. I don't know what other interview could have happened on a Sunday if there was no PPV. There is no way in hell Taker showed up on a Sunday Night Heat show in 2002.

May 19th and what it means will have something to do with Kane's movie character and the plot out of the movie. It won't have anything to do with Kane's past as a wrestler. What will happen is that Kane will become the monster and murderer he is in the movie, "See No Evil."

I have a question, if those are voices in his head, how come we can hear them? And another thing, it may be just a promotion for his movie, or it could be the Katie Vick thing brought back up again. Though, the thing with the eyes in the movie and kane's "fake" eye might have something to do with may 19th? The mysteries will be answered....on MAY 19TH (wonders if kane reads these boards)

From last night with his old mask on the screen I thought it might have to deal with him losing his mask. But I could be wrong, and I know everyone is saying it might have to deal with the Undertaker too, but of course on the release date is Friday the 19th, and Judgement Day is on that Sunday..And the Undertaker is going against the great Kali(sp?)....I know this is a MAJOR stab in the dark, but what if Kane shows up on the PPV? Just a thought...I could be majorly wrong.

nope, Kane said in an interview... last week? that that date has a signifigance to the Kane character's past and not anything to do with the movie.

The Big Red Monster wore a mask, and he hid his body in attire designed to conceal hideous burns from a fire supposedly started by his half-brother Undertaker.
besides that, like he would have been that badly burned in a fire started by himself? (btw, plastic surgery can work miracles nowadays lol )

firstly - told ya so!
secondly...judging from the interview we just saw a few minutes ago, they're gonna let the air out of the balloon (like they do EVERY time they start to push Kane). however, this is what they should do is this:
they should have TOTALLY had Kane attack 'Taker on Smackdown! (of course that would require the Undertaker to actually BE THERE) and they wouldn't have even had to have a fued out of it, it would have been good even with the single brawl, then send Kane along a path of destruction, leading up to him taking the belt from Cena (with EXTREME prejudice) at Summerslam, and retaining at least 'till Taboo Tuesday or (preferebly) New Year's Revolution.

he said it in raw lat night that his adoptive parents were in a fire and died. so kane still hasn't coperated from that since then but he said he is happy.
