Nicole, I am a big fan from down in Cajun Land. I would love to hear you sing "Good Is Good" by Sheryl Crow, but with a more country arrangement. I enjoy the "Rockin' Mama", but maybe it is time for you to sing something with a slower tempo to let us (your fans and the rest of America) see the breadth of your talent. Good luck next week and I will keep voting for you.

I agree, I was thinking the same thing...but it seems the judges don't like anything that isn't pure country. I think it would be a risk worth taking though. After all, it's the audience she needs to relate to. Maybe she could win the hearts of non-country buffs.

While I agree Nicole would do a good job with Good is Good, but with regards to this particular competition she needs to be aware and cater to what the fans want. I think if she did do "Good is Good" she'd get a similar beat down to what Casey did for "Great Balls of Fire"
Also, I really dont like Nicole being pigeon-holed into the "Next Sheryl Crow". It limits her to a certain genre, when in reality Nicole is far more diverse.
I know I irked some people on the main page by making the statement that Sheryl Crow is a Nicole wannabe. While I meant nothing against Sheryl Crow, its just that Nicole can sing and play anything. Its somewhat of a double edged sword in that her diversity is hurting her a little on Nashville Star, but in the end it is what will make her marketable to a mass audience when she does get a record deal.
I've seen Nicole play live with Jamrose and with Nick Danger and I am stressing hard to recall if shes ever played ANY Sheryl Crow covers. Maybe "All I wanna do" .. maybe. I have a terrible memory though.

I agree with Vorrin that if I was her I wouldn't touch a Crow song. It's obviuos that the bulk of the voters are too mainstream country to try that. Mason and Nicole are consistently trying and nailing alternate and older country songs and they have been the last 2 picked 2 weeks in a row. You can walk into any country bar on any night and see people singing the mainstream country hits as good as the rest of them (don't get me wrong everyone left is real good except for the other girl IMO) but they are cookie cutter type country stars, a dime a dozen. She would sound awesome doing it, as she has every week so far, but I think Sheryl Crow would be suicide with the voters. Something alternate but still a little country that she would blow people away with, would be "Bobbie McGhee" by Janis Joplin. Remember people this is NW Indiana, vote early and vote often
