Hey guys, I hope you had a great weekend. I know Stablersfan posted a getting to know you question earlier today but unfortunately someone had already posted that topic in another thread. So, with Stablersfan agreement I'm posting another one.
Sorry but I'm taking you guys to the dark side with this one. Okay, let's say that the SVU producers had a budget crunch and absolutely had to get rid of one (1) of the main characters. And let's say they decide that character should die in their last episode to boost the ratings. Which character would you choose to leave the show and what would you have their cause of death be? And remember they've already done the witness protection program so that's not an option.
I know this is a hard one guys. No way would I ever consider getting rid of one of the detectives or Cragen and I love Warner and Huang. I guess if I had to live without one of the current characters it would be Casey and that's not because I don't like her. But, I figure if the show survived a changed in ADA before, I'm betting they can again. As for cause of death, she is kinda young so I guess heartattack wouldn't be too believable. Maybe it would be interesting if Casey became a victim and got shot by a perp. That would be a powerful show because it would hit close to home for the detectives and you know they would stop at nothing to haunt down the killer.

i don't really like Huang all that much. if he was to die, i think it would be like in "Execution" when he was knocked out and we didn't know if he lived or not. kind of like the adas, they changed shrinks before too. i wouldn't miss him all that much, but that's my opinion.

i would chose cregan. calm down, i know "without cregan how are they going to function". well hold on, he is a big character so i chose him, and he isnt a detective so getting someone a new partner would be a little hard. anyway, he wouldnt die. instead cregan would finally get married to the love of his life and deside to retire. the show would have all the past detectives and ada's that have appeared on the show for a retirement eppy. cool huh

Yeah that is cool actually. I would love for Cragen to leave on happy terms when he finally does leave. I hope it won't be soon though. And it would be fun for all the cast from the past to come to his retirement party.

I agree with he cragen thing. But i dont want to see him go hes awesome in my opinion. i think I might have to say huang I think they can switch out shrinks easier then a captain. Idk! It is such a hard desicion!!!

I think Huang should go to. I mean, I like him, but he might be the easiest to replace. No new partner training, and no getting used to a new captain. Just a new person giving the perp profile. I think he should get shot by a perp. Like they think he's a detective and shoot him.

My choice will probably have to be...Huang..
Its not that I dont like him, its just that I would be less sad if he were to go. But I wanna see him go while on duty, like he got to far into a perps head,went pyschotic himself and maybe did something suicidal...

I like Huang, too. He's important to the team, but somehow the least important part of the "family." (Sort of the black sheep, smug older brother type, I guess.) I don't see him going to the "dark side," though. Too out of character!

I'd say Munch would be less obvious, but I don't want him to do it, so there.(Calm down, BelztheMan!) That leaves Fin, Huang, or even Warner. It's more shocking to people both on and off the show if they didn't see it coming (worked in the first season of Homicide, just ask Munch )

i would get rid of casey. i just don't like her as much as alex, and something about huang makes me go, "No! I'm keeping him!"
as for how she'd die, idk, maybe a murder that was "sexually motivated" that the rest of the cast had to investigate. and maybe alex could come back to take her job!
well, i dont actually want casey to die, but if alex could come back...

If cragen quites or ect It will be down the hill. Then Mr conspiracy will tell them to do this and that. Munch will just keep on talking crazy/chaos.

Besides, although Munch is big on conspiracy theories, I've never seen him act carazy. He has seen a lot of stuff in his long career as a cop, he had several partners shot when they were standing right next to him, he saw the cases go wrong because of bious detectives, etc.
I'd say he is pessimistic, and definitely not paranoyed.
Munch'd be a good squad captain with his 30-year experience, but he has his own gig - to be a witty and accerbic detective.
Cragen should stay, they all should stay. Without even one of those main five characters, the show would definitely change. And I am not sure that it would change for the best. If someone is to get the boot, it better be Huang. Sorry my fellow brother shrink. *sheds tears of guilt*
