IrishEyes
Actually the first game of the season is on ESPN now...Chicago White Sox vs. Cleveland Indians

Tomorrow is listed as opening day though...

My Red Sox open tomorrow vs. Texas at 2:00 EST....Can't wait...
stablersfan
that would rock
IrishEyes
It is a great time of year...I ordered the MLB package so I can keep track of the Red Sox this year...Spring is my second favorite time of year (next to fall or college football season)
stablersfan
right on Irisheyes. the MLB fans unite for one great season, it always is. well hear we go.
Icy_stars
I'll be watching those Astros lol!
IrishEyes
As long as Barry bonds can keep his mouth shut we will be ok... I really can't stand that man...I hope noone watches his show, but that is just wishful thinking...I was talking to my dad about him and McGuire and Sosa about them being in the hall of fame and his answer I agree with...let them all in but make a section for them and title it the Steriod Era just like they have a section for the Dead Ball era...just as long as they don't get in on the first ballot...the second is ok though...
sharrie15
yeah im from baltimore the orioles this wedsday opening day. im ready.

let the game begain
stablersfan
finally i know someone else who doesnt like bonds. he is full of it. the guys who actually took the time to practice and not take steriods are the real heroes of the game
IrishEyes
Yeah ..Babe Ruth gained his weight the old fashioned way not by taking steriods...by drinking beer and eating hot dogs...lol...He also hit all those homeruns in larger parks (even though Yankee stadium was made for him with the short porch in right) and with the dead balls...
stablersfan
thats right.
Nasha
GOOOOOOOOOO O'S!!!! ORILOES HUN!
sharrie15
yeah im ready.
IrishEyes
I will be at Camden Yards Saturday to watch my Red Sox hopefully beat the Orioles...My brother-in-law and I have tickets
sharrie15
cool they always beat the o's. i was going to go weds day. but my sister is going. i hope he got some tickets for sat. i want to go. if he do i will tell you maybe i could meet you?
Olivia33
I really wish I could say I love the Tigers, but I don't. I like the Red Sox! Hopefully they'll have an awesome season, and I'm sure they will!
IrishEyes
I hope that the Red Sox will have a good season, but we lost a lot of good people. We did get a six time gold glove first baseman which we needed...

Shari I would like to meet you someday at Camden...It is a beautiful stadium...But Fenway is incredible you have to see that beautiful old stadium...It is tought to believe that it was built and opened the day the Titanic sunk...
sharrie15
yeah i saw fenway stadium it is pretty. one thing i like about our stadium in baltimore is when the sun go down you can see the haber buildings and downtown buildings light up.
IrishEyes
Oh yeah Camden is one of the most beautiful stadiums that I have been to...Fenway is beautiful, but really really small...and very tough to get to...I always take the T (or subway) to the stadium...37000 people in the stadium and 35000 of them go to the T to go home...lol...
sharrie15
the o's stadium is big and like when we do strech time we have to guess the number of people in the stadium. it be 43,000 or more at some games.
IrishEyes
It's like a Red Sox home game away from home...lol...there is always more Red Sox fans than Orioles fans there...same with the Yankees and when the Giants came to town their fans packed the stadium...What would really be nice is to see the Nationals play the Orioles...If I am not mistaken they will this year...
sharrie15
yeah that is true.

no lie i was senting at a game last season and this guy looked just like chris and i thought it was him but it wasnt. they looked like they could be related.
stablersfan
hum, today is not my day well kinda. i was supose to go to the dodgers home opener today to see my braves in their first seson game but no i didnt get the tickets in time before they were sold out. one day, they sold out in one day, the dodgers are not even that good. oh man, not cool at all
Katie081990
I love baseball season. I love the red sox. Too bad Johnny Damon is a traitor and is now on the Yanks. I hope Schilling strikes him out when we play against them.
IrishEyes
The Red Sox won their first game today!!!! Yeah
i_luv_svu
i have no interest in baseball... haha... i like playing sports more than watching them.
stablersfan
just finished watching my braves take home a victory over the dodgers. 11 to 10. how sweet it is. ahh, i can smell the freshly cut grass and the rosted peanuts
IrishEyes
11-10...wow did the pitchers show up...lol
stablersfan
yeah hte dodgers came back in the eighth inning and got up from 5 to 10 within three innings. could have been better but they still won

I totally agree LOL!
scullyj
Great to see some hard core Sox fans on here. We did well yesterday and although it's only the first game, I think we can go all the way! I have high hopes for my SOX!! We didn't need Damon for anything yesterday!!
IrishEyes
we are getting killed now...we are losing by seven and it is only the fifth inning...not one of Wake's better outings...
scullyj
That's alright. We'll bounce back like we normally do. It may not be today, but we'll have better days!
yEsImBlOnDe28
GO YANKEES
IrishEyes
Lets go RED SOX!!!!

lol

Is Nomar on the disabled list already???
scullyj
LOL
He is indeed on the DL, something about his ribs.
By the way, Fever Pitch is on HBO. Awesome movie! I'll switch channels to watch SVU at 9:59!
IrishEyes
I already saw Fever Pitch...it was good...Sucks that Nomar is hurt AGAIN...for as much as I loved him in Boston, I almost glad they didn't sign him...he has been on the DL for what seems like the last three years...

Hey I'm a Yankees fan, but I don't have anything against the Red Sox. I want a few people call not a "true Yankee fan" but oh well. I understand that you're upset with Johnny Damon for coming to the Yankees. I, personally, would have been P.O if Derek Jeter went to the Red Sox being the fact that he's the only reason I like the Yankees. Him and Roger Clemens. I'm not a A-Rod fan either so you can definitely say I'm not a "true Yankee fan." I did enjoy or blowout against the A's yesterday. Another thing is ESPN really needs to stop talking about Barry Bonds and get on to other important topics like the NFL offseason. and Barry Bonds needs to stop complaining about being asked non-baseball questions. This is what happens when you're a celebrity baseball player, who's about to break Babe Ruth's record, and gets caught doing steroids. You can't turn back and now half of the baseball fans hate you. I really don't care though. And BOOOO! to anybody who jumped on the Florida Gators bandwagon. I'm forever a Seminole Fan!
Belz_da_Man
*eyes popping* HOMERUN!!! *bolts away*
Elliott_rulez
I personally thought it was funny when Barry Bonds said that his life was in shambles and that he was going to jump of the Empire State Building. Maybe he needs a good talk with Det. Huang, lol!
IrishEyes
Last night some Padres fan threw a Syringe on the field at Bonds there was no needle attached thank God...now for as much as I hate him, he doesn't need that kind of abuse...the steroid freak that he is...but I am not bitter...lol
stablersfan
well t owrap up tonights game...

atlanta lost in the ninth inning to the dodgers, close game
