I know there's been a lot of questions about Olivia's reassignment (to cover for Mariska's maternity leave). Based on the information that I've seen so far:

Thanks for the info. I can't wait to see Fat. It's definitely going to be interesting to see that things have gotten so bad between them that Olivia doesn't even acknowledge his presence. Very interesting indeed.

Kat, In what aspect does she appear in "Web"? To get her stuff?
I wonder if Stabler acknowledges HER in "Fat".? I hope we have some scenes where she says good bye to Munch/Fin etc.

I don't have enough information to know where Olivia was or why she's back near the end of Web. It could be that she's there to pick up her stuff or for some other reason.
The stage direction in Fat is that neither of them acknowledge each other.

I do hope they mention Benson once or twice while she is gone. Maybe Stabler will even miss her. Maybe, maybe not.

That makes me really sad. I hope they get back to the way they were before, that's why I love them so much. There just is no SVU without the Olivia/Elliot partner dynamics. As much as it kills me to say...I almost wish April 4th WOULDN'T come! Is anyone else sad??!!

I hopeful that this estrangement will cause them to realize how much they have been sniping at each other and that even on their bad days together are much better than good days apart.

Well sinceethey are working together next season they most work it out at some point.

I just hope that the time apart will get their past their differences so that when they do get back to working together, they stop sniping and get back to the friendship.

Oh God, I feel the same way. It's not enough for them to just accept each other's apology and go back to being partners. They really need to hash out what went wrong so they can get back to being friends in tune with with each other because that's what made their partnership so special.

what's up with this??? question: she's not coming back to the SVU unit? and if she doesnt, is it permanent? and what's up with her and elliot fighting??

Olivia's being reassigned to cover the fact that Mariska's going out on maternity leave. That's it. When Mariska returns to the set, Olivia will be back at the office.
However, it's important to note that while Olivia is being reassigned away from SVU for a while, production has managed to shoot at least a few scenes in several episodes already that they'll be able to insert in episodes later on so that Mariska's absence won't be so noticeable by those that don't know (or care) about the actor's personal life.`

hokay... let me let out a loud and much needed "phewwww".... i was afraid one of them was gonna DIE!!!
i had heard their contracts expire in two years, so i didnt actually think too much about the possibility of one of them leaving permanently. Especially Mariska.
i'm so happy for her & her husband.

According to that spoiler article. MH is in the rest of the season. CM said by S8 him and Nelison are working partners.

Do we know if they are working together next season? It seems weird that in the beginning of season 8 it indicates she works with Elliot, but then in the later episodes she works with someone else or isn't there at all.

Stabler works with Connie Neilson's character 6 shows next season. I don't think we will see S and B partner up again for awhile
