Full Version: Question about Scars

I was reading through the script on "Scars" about the vision John had that showed the lady's bloody hand on a silk sheet, etc. The script says that in the vision we were supposed to hear "a wild roaring scream that sounds like Greg in agony or ecstasy..." Does anyone recall hearing a scream? I sure don't. But I'll re-watch it to make sure.

EDIT: I didn't hear any screams, only Greg laughing but I took that as part of reality and not vision because he was laughing when he touched John.

Speculation: If for some reason that Greg is screaming, is it over the woman's death? Could John be threatening Stillson about the safety of that woman? Something like give her to me safely or I'll let something be broadcast over the satellites? Something that inadvertantly triggers Armageddon? Something via Faith Heritages satellite systems?

Given how long ago Scars was made and the twists in the plot that have happened since I don't think the bloody hand was ever really accounted for by the writers. If you want to really stretch speculation you could say it was Miranda's hand and that something John does concerning her will trigger Armageddon. At this point anything-or nothing-is possible. We only know for certain of ten more episodes.

Also, we also have to take into acoount the warning of FJ about John going "kill" Sarah, Bruce, and Walt. I wonder if that would be something like in "Dead Man Tell Tales" when John was warning Cahan of getting shot and John inadvertantly "killed" (or at least he claimed responsibility) for Mickey's death. Actually John can't because Mickey was coming to see Cahan with a gun, regardless. The end still could've been the same.

I think in the first vision Johnny had in "Dead Men Tell Tales," the hit was successful. So he directly reversed the outcome by warning Cahan. I guess in that sense he really is responsible for Mickey's death, although there's no way he could have known that Cahan totally deserved it or that Cahan's goons would respond with deadly force.

It always seemed to me that FJ felt responsible for Sarah, Walt and Bruce's deaths because he didn't have the guts to kill Stillson. That's what I thought "Broken Circle" was all about. Although why JJ would survive and not the others is a question that complicates that scenario.

I guess the bottom line is that there are a number of ways this could all be tied together. I just really hope the Pillars had something in mind and weren't pulling an X-Files stalling tactic.
