Ok...please forgive me if this sounds completely and totally idiotic and ignorant...after seeing that synopsis of what happens in "Fault" I am almost certain I now have heart failure. Again this is going to sound really insane...but all this blowing up is only happening between Elliot and Olivia right? What I mean is...no one has heard anything of Chris and Mariska getting tired of being "partners" as actors have they? I know she's having a baby...but part of me is terrified that the two of them are upset in "real life" and won't work together anymore!

they still work together after she has the baby but the partners just not for the rest of the season. thats all. the second episode of next season they will be partners again

Everyone keeps on saying that she is going to get a new parter or they are going to hook up. I dont want them to get new partners. Just because they had a few bad episodes doesnt mean they can't work it out! I really dont want them as new partners and i would appriciate(sp?) it if people would stop saying that unless you 100% know or have proof of it! I hope they keep on going..they better not stop after 8 seasons!! I hope everything works out with them on and if so off the show.. but im pretty sure they are really good friends off the show.

Honey, I hate to tell you this, but even if Olivia and Elliot don't actually say "I want a new partner," they won't be partners for awhile because Mariska's maternity leave prevents her from being around for about 6 episodes.

At this point, no one knows with any certainty what causes them to split up, or even if the words are spoken, but the fact that Olivia leaves for a while, does lend credence to the new partners (for a while) theory.

Personally speaking, I think it'll do them both (O&E) good to not be so much on top of each other for a bit of time. Once they get back to working in the same location, becoming partners again will be much easier to do.

As for the original question at the top, no, Chris and Mariska aren't tired of working together. This is only because of Mariska's pregnancy (though my feeling is, even if she wasn't pregnant, this might not be a bad thing for the on-screen partnership to go through just to shake things up and bring them back to the friendship they had in the first couple of seasons).

it has been posted all over the forum, lol, i didn't find out til' January, it's okay though. she's HUGE now.

I thought she would be gone from the episodes (liv) because she gets injured in 'fault'. Maybe not? I dunno.

Regardless of the extent of Olivia's injuries, she's going to be temporarily reassigned elsewhere. Depending on the source, she'll be missing from several episodes this year or maybe several next year. We'll just have to wait to see what actually pans out.
