Guys, since we seem to be a rather talkative group, can folks try to at least scan the first page of threads before posting a new thread? We have at least two duplicate sets of threads on the first page, which just shoves down other threads to back pages faster.

If you want to post a new thread, just take a moment to review the other threads first. It doesn't take long and will help us all out in the long run because we won't have to scratch our heads wondering where our post went ... when it was put on thread #1 and someone started thread #2 on the exact same subject matter.

Thanks.

I agree with KatRose...there are about five threads about tonights episode...Why?...I don't want to offend anyone, but why so many threads talking about the same topic?
sharrie15
i dont know that was on everyone mind.... that was the topic. but some of them are talking about diffrent things. maybe i could be wrong.

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe they all posted it at once? I posted a thread a long time ago about multiple threads and people replied saying they couldn't look through all the pages to see if the topic had already been posted. The reality was that many similar threads were posted on the just first page. Anyway, there are usually like 2 threads about the new episodes after they are over (and only because they were posted at the same), but tonight there are about 5. Maybe people want to increase their post count under their name? I don't know...
KatRose
I think a lot of it has to do with folks wanting to be "first" or having their names as the first on a thread. Personally speaking, I don't give a rats backside if my name is listed as originator of any thread. I'd rather just have to waste less time trying to figure out what the thread was about by opening each and every one that says "FULT!" or "VENOM". But that's just me. I'm too old and tired to read every duplicate thread out there, so I just don't join in as often as I would otherwise.
Katie081990
Yeah, I like to read every thread and try to respond often. Unfortunatley, if I don't go on the board for a day or two there are tons of new threads... like 3 pages... and I sometimes can't get to them all.
ViVi
it maybe that but also people are really excited about it and they want to express their feelings on it, thats all.
KatRose
So express them in existing threads. What's the big deal? Why is it all so important to start a new thread when there are others that are talking about the exact same thing?

Duplicate threads push other interesting threads down or to the next page. Would it be better to have a page full of similar topics or a page full of diversity? Boring repetition or exciting differences?

Maybe it's just laziness, like the lack of punctuation, grammar, spelling and capital letters. Guess age does show after all.

WELL IDK KATROSE SINCE U HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS!
KatRose
Nope, I don't have all the answers, just an ability to communicate in a straight-forward way that doesn't make one's head hurt with trying to figure out what was meant, nor do I YELL at people just because I'm to lazy to turn off my caps (as you have stated at least once as your excuse for the perpetual caps).

::shrug::

It's your choice if you want to be considered rude and uncouth because you don't choose to communicate with others in a manner that's easy to understand. But that also means you have to reap the consequences of those choices. If you don't like it, change it. Your call.

Okay guys, let's calm down. I think it makes sense to try to get as many opinions as possible under the same thread so we should try to do that. I also agree that everyone is excited and just goes crazy with wanting immediate feedback from others. I'm guilty of that. But it's okay, it would keep things less confusing if we try to maximize responses under one relevant thread.

There are a lot of threads on Fault...don't forget that the Admin is supposed to lock the duplicates...I don't want to upset the people here but I hope they do...
