Monique is by FAR my favorite performer on the show. In fact, she's the only reason I watch it. But to the show's wardrobe person I say, please give her better outfits! The dress she wore the first week was really nice, although more color would be good, but last week, the pants?? Did someone try to sabotage her by giving her an unattractive outfit? She's a beautiful woman who deserves to be presented in a beautiful way.

All of the other girls on the program wear blue jeans so Monique assumes that she must wear the blue jeans in order to be "country." She made a big point out of emphasizing that she is indeed "country" on episode 2. She sang a contemporary country song "Guys Do It" and wore the blue jeans to show the world that she could fit in with the country crowd. I love Monique, she has a beautiful voice, personality and look, she should just be herself. She can wear a more sophisticated outfit like she did on the first show and express her own personality, not a persona that she feels that she must display in order to succeed in Nashville.

I agree Standup....it's too bad our narrow society requires a person to be in such a box to win something like this. The judges are always telling the contestants to be themselves, but I think they know what they really mean is, you won't win this unless you look like you are being yourself while you fit into our neat little box.

She dresses the way a girl like her should not dress. She isn't 140 pounds. That kind of dress is not for girls her size.

Actually the jean outfit would be more attactive than the first outfit if it didn't have the white marks down the front.
I don't know who much wardrobe people really do anyway. Chris Young's friend wrote about going over to the mall with him just before the show to look for a shirt and he picked the one he wore at the last minute,
