Dear Mr. Imus:
On behalf of midwestern "Monk" Fans, we at MonkFest 2006 are pleased to present The Imus Ranch For Kids With Cancer the enclosed check in the amount of $212.00, payable to The Imus Ranch Foundation.
For the first (ever) this year, a Mini MonkFest Fan Meet was held at Treetop Village, Lake Ozark, Missouri, to celebrate all things "Monk" (USA Network's Original Series starring Tony Shalhoub)--and to have a good fun time! One of the scheduled events was a sealed bid fan charity auction, where fans submitted sealed bids for various donated "Monk" items such as Tony Shalhoub/Monk 2004 SpokaneHoopfest Posters (donated by The Spokane Hoopfest Association), which photograpically depict Tony Shalhoub dressed as Monk from the waist up --and as a basketball player (with a basketball in hand) from the waist down: slogan on it reads, "The Greatest Role You'll Ever Play;" ten packs (5 travel sized and 5 packs of refills) of Lever 2000 Wipes (Monk's wipes of choice donated by Twinrogers, a.k.a. Pat); an autographed photo of Tony Shalhoub (publicity and book still donated by Spinner , a.k.a. Diana; and a souvenir MonkFest 2006 t-shirt. Other items were donated by fans such as Raven a.k.a. Amy, Naurinee a.k.a. (Naurine), and anonymous (did not want their names to be known).
Winners of the sealed bid auctions include Spinner/Diana, AdriannaMonk/Kerri, Aldebaran/Deb, MonkFanToo/Lee, Twinrogers/Pat, and Naurrinee/Naurine. One hundred percent of all winning bids are by check herein donated to The Imus Ranch For Kids With Cancer through The Imus Ranch Foundation.
MonkFest plans to continue along with the Monk Fan Charity Auctions yearly. Next year (2007) MonkFest will be a central (U.S.) states' affair. As we grow, we hope in some small way to "give back" by helping charitable organizations such as The Imus Ranch "carry on." It is, perhaps, "the greatest role any Monk/Tony Shalhoub fan can play"! Best wishes for your Imus Ranch Foundation's continued success on its truly great mission!

Wish I knew how to post a copy of the check sent but my knowledge of a computer is very limited.
