I think it pretty obvious its "I want a new partner". Could be wrong though.
I think Olivia and Elliot are having serious partner problems also. They don't seem to get along at all.

Yep, I don't think there will be any "Love or kisses' in this show.
Neither actor or Mr. Wolf wants them together. But I think for next season when MH returns, they will realize what they had and want the partnership back. It will be a way to bring Olivia back from leave. Of course this is all speculation and we will just have to wait and see....

That could be "I am sorry". I mean they have all those problems with Elliot an' all.
That does not fit the 15 letters though. "* **** * *** ********"
I don't think that she spells it out for us. Or says 'the sentence has 15 letters, guess!' I don't think that you supposed to take literaly all the stars after 'I'.

If what I've read about this particular script is accurate (versus all ther spoilers and fan speculation), then wanting a new partner is perfectly within keeping of the story.
The partnership between Benson and Stabler has been on the rocks for a while now. We've all talked about how we miss the comraderie and fun they used to have together. Most of that has been missing for a while. Hopefully, if 6471's interpretation is correct (which I firmly believe is), then next season they'll have to actively work towards being friends and partners again, which is fantastic in my book.

A fellow SVUer said on another board they're debating that the comment is "I made a big mistake." I personally don't think that fits, but I did want to toss it out there for others to grapple with.
Ok...my question here is: Who exactly IS this Ausello guy, and how the hell would he have any idea about any of this? I never did quite understand, myself.
Michael Ausiello (or Assiello, as I prefer to call him), is one of TVGuide's reporters. He claims to have a lot of inside scoop and contact with oodles of publicists and assistants to help him get his information. I don't doubt that part. What I do doubt is the veracity of some of his information.
On more than one occasion something he's posted in his Ask Ausiello column has completely contradicted what I knew as fact about a show/actor from friends who work on said show or with said actor. One of his comments called into question the friendliness of a show as to the reason one of the actors left ... completely untrue!

ok, im not believing anything i hear about fault from here on out .. until the episode airs, all im going to know is liv and el are on a stakeout and that liv gets hurt. everything else i am putting out of my mind because it's getting ridiculous at this point.

Where has it been written (beyond fan speculation), that Fault is the episode that clip was about? I'm still wary of that particular "spoiler" since I don't recall seeing or hearing anything concrete about that clip.
And even if it is for Fault, there's nothing to suggest that she was severely wounded, she could have been cut, fell and then gotten up needing only a gauze bandage around her neck.
Regardless, what I've seen of the script (which I do realize could have changed a little or a lot) there's more to lend itself to a "new partner" theory than a "mistake" theory. We'll just have to wait and see what actually appears on screen in two weeks (assuming that's truly the airdate for "Fault").
The cops on this show heal very quickly.
yeah me either i would cry if she say that, and they should always be partners. that episode will change everything. on one called "fat" this season. she will get reasigned. then weeks later she will appear in another episode. and then season 8 they are partners i cant see her saying that.i wish it hurry up. but i can go another week.

Anyway, here's what i think happened in response to the quote, "I made a big mistake" (that is, if that's what she said): Benson and Stabler bond during the stakeout (at least according to initial spoilers, that's the plan). So they start talking, opening up to each other, etc. Then, somehow things get out of hand which leads to other things (which, of course, they are not going to show on tv). They both freak out, though Benson more than Stabler. Now does everyone here remember how she reacted back in the S1, ep. Closure pt. 1, regarding her drunken one-night stand with Cassidy? Except this time it's with her partner and no alcohol is involved. She could have said "I made a big mistake" because of that and maybe even requests for a temporary reassignment just to give her time and space to think about what happened and how she or they will deal with it. Am I making any sense? Do any of you think it's a plausible scenario? See, I'm not sure if I want them to be romantically involved or not, but I think, for writers of the show, it's something to explore. What do you all think?

I think this is a very plausible scenario and a very interesting one. It's plausible because for years they had a very strong partnership until Elliot seperated from Kathy. So it's possible that things got awkward and tense between them because they have feelings for each other and didn't know how to deal with them now that Elliot was available. So, it's possible that they would finally allow them to admit that they have feelings for each other which leads to kissing and other fun stuff.
On the other hand:
I think it's also plausible that she would request a new partner. It's safer for producers/writers to have Liv request a new partner because she is fed up with things being bad between her and Elliot. If they choose this scenario they really don't even have to explain the reason why things got bad. It's safer to have them end their partnership for a while than for them to admit that that they have feelings which lead to kissing etc.
I think the producers would take the safer route because they don't want to shake things up too much.
Again, BOTH actors have said numurous times that anything romantic will not happen. So that's totally out in my book.
I have heard so much about this eppi. I don't know what to believe. In just 2 weeks we will find out. Just remember she will be back next season and her replacement won't. So they will mosty likely be partners again next season.
I really hope she doesn't say "i need a new partner" I WILL CRY! Even if they get back together as partners. I hope it is the "i made a mistake" PLEASE! be that! I ve heard so much so idk.

Katrose. I recall the fight in the sides Benson mentioning she would not shoot because of the kid. Looks like that was changed to Stabler.
im ready because no one knows what to believe and its like a puzzle that we are trying to put together.
The Canadian promo seems to show the kid being used as a shield at one point. The question is whether or not that's when Stabler thought she should have shot or not.
at first it was one child now they are saying two. but nothing on mariska. i read at nbc. im confused
It was always two children. The guy takes two kids, but the earlier spoilers seemed to indicate that he used one as a shield to keep Oliva from shooting him.
oh thanks. ok so answer this questioned why do he hold elliot as a shield and elliot tell olivia to shoot the killer.
You know when you try to put it all together, it really is strange because at one point the perp has two kids hostage, another point he has Elliot at gun point and Elliot wants Olivia to take the shot and at another point the perp manages to slash Olivia's throat. Strange waiting is getting hard
I've said she might say I want or I need a new partner in a joking fashion to try to get Elliot to quite feeling so bad about the situation. her being rotated to TARU could simply be a matter of giving her a desk job while she recovers from her injuries (being slashed in the throat might mean she can't talk for a while which would make it difficult for her to be helpful at SVU) where she can learn some new skills
