I planned to be there, as long as nothing comes up, but I imagine that I'll be there alone, at least for a couple of hours.

Not having the kind of puter nor camera to submit a character, guess my profile won't show. Sorry. Only took me 45 min to get in the chat room. My register window disappeared. Then didn't know that I needed to be invited on. Still learning about these things.

10 PM IS east coast regular Monk broadcast time. I know they were going to change it to 9 PM EST but I think that was later this yr during season 5.

I dont get out of work til 1 am. First thing i'm gonna do when I get home is watch the show and then go to chat room at 2 am. Maybe some other night owls will be there.

I might be in the Chat room that late. I'm watching Conviction at 10pm then House at 11pm then Monk at 12am. I'm recording it and watching it. Unfortunatley, I haven't seen the last two Monk episodes because I was in England. Those are the only two I've ever missed. I think I will buy them on iTunes and watch them tommorow. Anything major i missed in the last 2 episodes..? Is Stottlemeyer still getting divorced? As for Monk changing to 9pm, I'm excited! I had a major conflict with Conviction & Monk on at the same time... since they are both my favorite shows. I can't believe season 4 is already over! It seems like it just started...

Hi Katie I forgot that Conviction was on today. Im Tivoing that too, great new show..i love that Julianne Phillips, almost as much as Natalie, well not quite lol. And they put a bit of humor in the show too which i think is great.

I probably won't be there b/c my friends and I are having a Big Monk Party until like 2 am so we can see the finale twice. It's a tradition and it is sooo much fun! Actually, I'm supposed to be in the bathroom right now, so I need to get back to the party!

Hi Katie! Yes, you missed two fantastic episodes, Astronaut and Goes to the Dentist. For me Dentist was especially good, really showcases Tony's superb acting. You're going to enjoy them!

Okay, this whole "Character" thing has more bugs than an ant farm. I created a character the other day and uploaded pics and everything. When I tried to sign in today, the software didn't remember my email at first. Then it said my password was wrong. When I requested my password, it said it had been sent to my email, but it never arrived.

To chat tonight, I had to create a new account. Still can't access the first one. I don't think I'll be making much use of this feature unless it gets easier to use.

I'll just stick with the handy dandy message board. You know, "Don't change anything, ever."

~Cyn, have to agree with you. Sticking with this board is a whole lot easier and less frustrating - besides MONK is over for this season.

This Chat room does not compute for me.

It sure didn't work out for me! If you're on the public chat area you are at the mercy of obnoxious posters, as I was. But when you invite someone to chat privately, can there be more than 2 people there? There was another poster I wanted to chat with there too and I don't know if that's possible.
Anyway I won't be using this feature again, I don't think.

I couldn't go into the chat room because I had to work late. I hope that you guys (who got to go into the chat room) had lots of fun. I can't wait for the fifth season.

Sorry you guys didn't enjoy it. We'll keep working to improve the chat and hopefully we can try again for the season premiere.

It would be alot better if several people could chat privately.

Chats have problems no doubt about it, but some things could be improved fairly easily I think in this case. I mean, I'm sure that some of the posters here can't access the chatrooms, which isn't fair but I don't know how or if that or some of the other things could be fixed.

But if you have chats specifically for Monk fans scheduled for more specific times, like in future 10 PM till midnight Eastern following a new episode rather than a generic 'after the show' since so many of us see the show at different times. Also if there was someone to act as admin there during that chat to prevent situations like Raven had to deal with; the troll. Trolls are just a fact of life in un-moderated chat. If you chat, they will come.

And I don't know how expensive or difficult this would be, but having a seperate room for Monk fans during this scheduled chat would be very helpful, rather than having a generic chatroom where people who aren't interested in the same things are all sitting around looking at each other but not knowing what to talk about. If you don't want to set up a whole seperate chatroom and just use the existing one, then post a notice of scheduled chats, you could even set aside an hour or two following each of the more popular shows for discussion of that show to help make sure that there will be people there with similar interests, but that might be a bit too complicated and impracticle. I don't know. I just know that I don't watch much TV and unless there are a lot of other fans of the same show I watch there to discuss it with and not just a bunch of people who are just bored and have nothing else in common, I'm not likely to stay. What usually happens then is you get people sending you private messages to ask if you are female or male, your age and if you're single and I hate that. I like private messages for people who want to discuss something that the rest of the chatters might not be as interested in, or so that you can focus more on one topic, but most often you get people who seem to think of chats as a strange sort of singles bar. Or at least in my experience.

And there has to be some clear line drawn about spoiler rules. If you can't talk about the episode that just aired because you are worried about spoiling it for others, it severely inhibits conversation because that is what most Monk fans are going to have on their minds at the moment and the reason they are there. I can appreciate the fact that some people don't want to be spoiled but I think that a compromise can be reached in that a scheduled chat following the episode would allow people who want to discuss the latest episode to do it during that time and people who don't want to be spoiled would know not to come in during that time frame. Or maybe just make a an automated greeting that says that you may be spoiled if you come in, because really, you should know you are going to run that risk if you go to a chatroom or a message board anyway, and moderators can't prevent all spoilers. Not to mention that I don't want to spoil people, I try not to, but I just screw up sometimes. Sorry, I can't help it, and I don't think I am the only person who ever has that problem.

I think your suggestions here, Liv, would help the chatroom be alot more successful and fun to be in.
I don't know why that creepazoid went after me. It doesn't make sense really. Who knows what goes on in a person's mind, I mean someone so hostile as that?
I just don't want to be exposed to that again....I had never been to a chatroom before, that was my first time.
