Did anyone else notice or maybe it's just me, but it seemed like they really gave this episode to Eames and Goren was very much in the supporting role. She did a good job, but I always like to see more of Bobby!

Meh, I wasn't very impressed with this episode at all. And maybe Eames was given a bigger role than usual to set up fans to accept LO:CI without Goren. Major bummer if true.

There was an article at the beginning of the season where Kathryn Erbe is asked if she thought it was fair that Logan/Barek shared air time equally while she always plays a backseat to Goren. She really stumbled over the answer and said it was something she was able to talk about although she would love to.

Personally, I love her heightened role. I feel like she's deserved this. It has felt weird to sort of watch this partnership where she does little more than hold Bobby's coat (metaphorically speaking).

Her scene in Wee Small hours on the stand was really great. She knocked it out of the park.

I don't think it is a set up to transition out VDO. I doubt she would be given a new partner. I think that the more equitable relationship between Logan/Barek has given rise to this change. IMO

I really am happy for this and I hope it xontinues. The dynamics between the two are why I watch more than for the Goren show. I think there is more chance of this because they have given her more to do than to just watch Bobby

I am also curious about the ending. Goren/Eames usually get their guy, but Slaughter walked away after Eames killed his son. Who besides Nicole has ever done that? I wonder if this means that we'll be seeing more of Malcom McDowell in another ep. Will he be seeking revenge over the death of his son or will they be hunting him down, unwilling to accept his escape from justice?

I really hope there is follow up.

I was somewhat dissapointed in this episode. It had the greatest of potential, but I think once again the writers got in over their heads for a one hour show. Had this been a longer 90 minutes or two hour episode it would have given them more time to work with the numerous plot twists.
I need to watch again cuz I was so confuzzled after watching it.

I like that Bobby and Alex had equal screen time in this one. Bobby would not have been able to manipulate the ex husband the way Alex did, it definately took a woman !!

I thought you had some interesting comments here. I didn't come away with the feeling that there would be more of this character coming back. I think what was important was Malcolm McDowell's comments about sons being expected to sacrifice for their fathers (in this case by taking the rap as well as giving up his life). It was a "reference" back to Bobby's own selfish father that didn't really care about his family and sacrificed them for his own personal needs.

I hope I am really wrong here, but I kind of have a feeling that we are looking at some type of climax with Bobby (maybe Nicole finally getting revenge on him or something), but it just feels like the end might be near. I don't know if that means the end of the show or just a change... Thoughts, anyone?!

Your connection between the father and Bobby's father is very insightful. Thanks.

Not quite sure I agree wholeheartedly with you on that. I know its inevitable that the show will end, Mr D'Onofrio will leave and we will be left trying to find something else to watch on Sunday nights, but I dont think this episode is a sign of things to come cuz the next Goren/Eames episode sounds like its gonna be a Bobby filled episode. So I think there is still plenty of Intent left with Bobby and Alex.

Hopefully there will be many more seasons to come. If not, hopefully Mr. Donofrio will do something like another show, so we can watch him regularly.

I think he will be around through the 7th season. i would imagine there is pretty good compensation for that especially through residuals.

I also think he is happier this season with the schedule substantially lighter. I hope and feel the same for Kathryn Erbe. I really like her.

I liked this epi. You know, at the end, Goren had this look on his face, like "I'm still gonna get this old fart!"
Mr. Slaughter is so toast. In some other epi, perhaps.
