You can tune in to a radio interview with Chris today at noonish (I think about 12:30) on www.klaw.com - they have a streaming broadcast on the site so even if you don't live near Lawton, OK, you can still hear the interview.....

The DJ announced the coming interview. He said he had met Chris 2 years ago when Chris was there to entertain the troops.

I am tuned in and ready to hear Chris.

Chris' interview is just coming on now.

GO CHRIS GO.....ok no offense but this DJ should have done his research before he did the interview with Chris. He was calling Nashville Star "American Star" and wasn't familiar with the whole process or any of the other contestants. He asked Chris if he wanted to be on the show next week for another interview if he is around.

WOW They are playing one of his songs also WOOHOO. They are playing "Three Rounds"

Grrrrr they said the song was "I Wish I Was Lyin" though it really was "Three Rounds"

Double dang! I got back to my office just in time to hear the DJ say that was a real treat .

The interview was for about 5 mins and Chris did a wonderful job not stumbling on anything and sounding like a pro in doing interviews.

It was the DJ sounding like he was in his 1st day on the job not knowing his facts before doing the interview and then giving out the wrong name of the song that he played.

Is it over? Did anyone hear it?

Yeah it is over and I just e-mailed the DJ to make the correction of the song title of what he played. See above posts that I made about the interview.

I heard it! I miss Chris. I even got a little choked up hearing him.

I made my whole internet applications class listen to it! :-) I am very excited for tonight, and have several friends promising to watch and vote!! I thought it was a nice interview.

I was able to listen. Chris did great, but the DJ seemed a bit unprepared.

I listened to it, too!! Chris was his usual charming self!

I just caught the tail end of it. They did say they would be talking to him often as they follow his progress on the show. Anybody know if it is a set time each week? I wanat to catch the whle thing the next time!

I am going to guess that its around the same time next week. But not sure, cause next week Chris I am sure will be practicing and getting ready for sound check and all that next week, since they are doing the show live next week. I guess we have to fin dout from Becky or Terri on what the deal is.

I'm really surprised by how many people are picking apart the DJ on KLAW. Eric is true fan of Chris' talent and has been an ongoing supporter for quite some time. He had very little time to prepare for interviewing Chris. In fact, mere minutes. I think he did a great job and I appreciate his support of Chris. I started listening to KLAW that morning at about 10:30 and Eric mentioned Chris numerous times and was generous, each time, in his comments about Chris. He not only talked about how great he felt Chris' talent was but he also talked about how much all of the folks in the Fort Sill/Lawton, OK area appreciated that Chris had come there, at his own expense a couple of years ago, to entertain the soldiers.

I taped the whole interview and continued to listen throughout the rest of the day. Eric mentioned Chris several more times and when he urged folks to watch the show that evening and vote, he said, "I know where my vote is going. I'm voting for Chris Young and if all of you who are listening will vote for him too, we will help keep him on the show and hopefully, we will be talking to him again next Tuesday."

Eric also said that regardless of the outcome of Nashville Star that he considered it a real honor and priviledge to know Chris.

I wrote a note of thanks to Eric Sharum and KLAW to thank them for their ongoing support of Chris. I hope some of the rest of you will do so too. http://www.klaw.com

Don't take my comments the wrong way please. I was picking him apart here but I also sent him a e-mail explaining to him the song title error and if he wanted to correct it and told him how much of a huge Chris Young fan I was and I was happy that he was also.

I gave him links to the Nashville Star website where he can check out video blogs of Chris, I gave him the addy to Chris' website and also asked if he was able to play another song by Megan Mullins who is part of the NS band. Not only did he not play the song but he never even replied to my e-mail. I thought I was very polite with the e-mail, never did I attack him or think that I wrote anything to put him on the defensive.

THe comments made here on this board about the show were harsh yes, but the truth about how I saw the interview. I had not known how long this guy knew about the interview and actually it wasn't minutes because Becky had posted this thread a good hour or 2 before the interview started.

I actually listened to the station the rest of the day cause I enjoyed the music and the radio personalities.

Any word on if they are talking to him today? I don't want to miss it when they talk to him again!

I got a e-mail from Chris already this morning and he said he was up doing radio stuff right now already and checking e-mails before he had to head to rehearsals. Boy what a busy life, but hell I would do that instead of what I am doing right now LOL

My connection hiccuped right when he said what he is singing tonight. I heard the reply about it being an uptempo song but didn't hear the name
