I read that. That really sucks. It said "NBC has yet to confirm which programs aren’t returning. But media researchers say two of three versions of “Law & Order” are safe while “Criminal Intent” may be nearing its end.
“I can’t say any ‘Law & Orders’ are on the bubble, but maybe ‘Criminal Intent’ because it’s having a tough time against [ABC’s] ‘Desperate Housewives,’” says Brill.
So hopefully LOCI will stay, they can't say for sure it's on the bubble, that sounds pretty good, but not as good as it's staying FOREVER FOR SURE. Let's just hope for the best.

There's a thread over on the SVU part of the board that mentions this -- "nbc screwing up their shows" -- here's a link to it:
USA Network Message Board,Law&Order SVU,nbc screwing up their shows post I responded to it but realized that some of my content really belongs here, so I'll reproduce it:
Quote:
There's been no mention of L&O:CI being canceled.
(This quote is from KatRose's post in the thread I mentioned.)
Thank goodness!
And if Vincent does move on, I hope they do go on with Logan, Barek and Eames. I like Logan and Barek. I think they are a slightly reshuffled variation of the original team and that they complement it. The show with all four of them was great, and I'd like to see more shows like that, maybe with other variations, like Goren/Barek, Logan/Eames, etc.
So there. (ducks flames)

If VDO leaves the show well there won't be any reason to watch because it's Det.Goren & Eames who keep's the fans happy. I know that after a while actors want to move on and do other things but the mim the star's leave then i leave with them

The networks usually announce their fall schedule lineups in May. So unless there's a news leak, we'll probably have to wait that long to find out if LOCI will be back next season.
Not so coincidentally, May is a big ratings sweeps month. How shows do in May can, and often do, determine if they will return in the fall.

I wish VDO would stay. Goren is the show. Eames, too, but he is essential to show's survival.

Yeah but it was a rerun of an episode that ran new not long ago. I think alot of people took the new DH or Sopranos over the rerun.

Who's "they" and why have we not seen a press release about this "news" if true? Please provide a link or some other source for this information.

Thank you for that reality check! I know there are some folks who would prefer to have things to work out exactly the way they want them to, and the fate of LOCI is no exception. But let's face facts--the real world doesn't exist for the sole purpose of fulfilling our wishes or fantasies!

I'm not for sure of course, but I was reading a few other posts that give evidence that CI is staying. The posts say that Whoopi is going to be a recurrent character, and her first appearance is the last episode of this season. So if that's true, they would have to have another season for her to come back in. But I'm not for sure of course. I can't wait till it's officially announced.

Do you think they are changing Jamey Sheridan for another captain? Seems like this past Sunday's episode and the upcoming one might be setting the stage for Captain Deakins to leave. They talk about Deakins having to meet with Internal Affairs regarding an issue. I would hate to see that happen as I am quite a Deakins (and Sheridan) fan.

i hope so. but he is ok as a captain
