I'm reading the California Judicial Council's Jury Instructions at work right now. I have to look for any differences in this year's edition from last year's version. Pretty tedious work but somewhat interesting since I've never served on a jury.

For example, it says here:

Some evidence proves a fact directly, sich as testimony of a witness who saw a jet plane flying across the sky. Some evidence proves a fact indirectly, such as testimony of a witness who saw only the white trail that jet planes often leave. This indirect evidence is sometimes referred to as "circumstantial evidence."

I want to be on the Jury! Even though people say its boring and annoying, I want to see it all.

I served on a jury this past summer. The case was a "sex crimes" case, the grandfather was accused of molesting his granddaughter. It was just like SVU, although in my opinion the ADA didnt present a clear enough case and it came out that the grandfather was framed by his wife. Talk about drama. Anyways being on a jury can be very interesting, i thought it was since im prelaw and into stuff like that.
