i was just watching the episode "mr monk and the panic room," and i have to say that the greatest monk scene of all time is when captain stottlemeyer tries to provoke the chimpanzee with the gun. never laughed harder in my life. (also from this episode... when monk freaks out in the panic room... so great). opinions?

I've never seen this eppy before, but I've seen those scenes on the classic moments. I love those scenes. They are too funny.

The greatest Monk scene for me was when he was trying to climb the ladder in orde to fix the roof. I have never seen anyone do it that way before! :shocked

Yes, that scene in Panic Room was one of my favorites. Even my hubby, who is not really a Monk fan, laughed his tushy off over Stott trying to get the monkey to shoot the gun.

There are soooooo many classic Monk scenes.

However, my all-time favorite to this day would have to be the airplane scene in "Mr. Monk and the Airplane", when a girl begins a riddle saying "Pete and Repeat were on a boat. Pete falls out. Who's left?", and poor Monk is trapped in incessantly saying "Repeat!" and his face is all flushing up with anxiety and sweat and finally, the cable man answers for him and Monk says in exhaustion, "Thhhank you!" LOL!

I still crack up when Monk does his "arms up in air" investigation bit in Takes His Medicine while taking bites of the pecan candy (must be a pecan hybrid)...then finally puts down arms and tells Sharona: "I got nothin'. I'm dry. It happens!" When Sharona remonstrates with him about this issue, Adrian says, "Back off! You can't rush The Monk, man!" lol

ha, how funny, i read your post at the same time i happened to be watching that exact scene! i love this show.

That part is too halarious. I love all of the scenes. I can't pick out just one.

The best one was when Monk goes to his brother's house and they solve the case of the bullet in the pie.

in mr monk gets fired... towards the end when he solves the case, he starts dancing around in his pajamas, sharona asks what are you doing? monk says "im doing a jig!!"

Adrian's jig is classic. I wish the writers would give him a chance to dance for us again.
One of my favorite moments is when he was going up to Cora's room for some lovin' in Bumps His Head. Just the doomed expression on his face makes me LOL every time!

another great scene... in the very very old man, when stot stays at monks house for two days, and they end up screaming at each other, stot says that monk is the worlds best marraige counselor... its just too funny!

I've never seen him do a jig, but I have his jig on one of my pictures that I downloaded from somewhere. It is just too funny.
