In a match between these two anti-establishment characters who would win?

Cena's so damn anti-establishment, he wears a different piece of merch to the ring every week! FIGHT THE POWER!

Why are you even comparing Cena to Stonecold?! Stonecold was ten times better on the mic, much more talented in the ring, and had a real superstar aura. Plus, he was the epitome of anti-establishment. Cena represents all the small kiddies and teeny-boppers out there who are looking to become so-called 'rebels'. Bottom line, Cena doesn't have the talent of Austin, and therefore should not have been given such a ridiculously large push in the first place - that's why you hear half the arena booing his ass. And secondly, one can also blame the WWE 'creative' team, who know nothing about wrestling and are former comedy sitcom writers. Vinnie Mac is losing his grasp.

Can you please stop with the Vinnie losing his grasp, lets bring back the old days, this wrestler has 5 moves, this other wrestler is being held back, and of course TNA's .9 rating is d-shizzle COMMENTS.
Please get a hold of reality. Take a look at your precious TNA and what do you see? A great cruiser weight (I mean X) division and no heavy weight contenders what so ever. Do you think that just because they have Sting, and potentially Goldberg, and Steiner; that these men will work full time schedules? Will they put the company on their backs until young talent develops? NO they won't. What they'll do is the same thing that happened in WCW. They'll work a few paperviews, flash a tag team match, or an interview every once in a while. Waisting air time that could go to your precious cruiser weights (X) and stiffle the growth of that division and the company.
<Honestly> when I say anti-establishment you knew I was talking about characters on a TV show? Both Cena (the present) and Auston (in the past) have walked out with a different T-Shirt or hat almost every week. They are selling two products - Themselves and the WWE.
Before you Cena haters dog on him look at the total package. Watch some of his Protype matches and do the world a favor, shutup and actually try enjoying the show. You obviously do, you watch it and then complain about it here every week.

the dogg has some good insight into thing ppl are quick to bash john cena because th rapper angle thats all it is triple h has had ths same angle prom and wrestling moves for years and ppl love him when hes a good guy and hate him when hes a bad guy but the fans arent doing that with john cena fans booed him at nyr and then when he lost the belt ppl got back behind him again then when he won it back ppl were cheering up untill triple h won the right to face him at mania like i like th fact cena took shots at the fake fans if your a true fan of a superstar youll be a fan of his the whole time or give him his due when he puts his opp. and puts one over on the fans like triple h can do to be honest im not a big hhh fan but i respect him as a wrestler and a person who puts his life on the line 300 plus days a year all over the world to provide for him self and his family and to entertain us the fans wrestling is two differnt business the on camera and the off camera part of it john cena is a good champion and a good person to have as the face of the company i didnt hear any of u complain as bad when edge was the champ and look what he really did to a friend matt hardy and to be honest edge isnt a good wrestler either and his mic skills suck
but back to the question who would win between austin and cena i like both this is the way id like to see the match end if it happend at least the first match cena hit the fu and austin kick out and hit the stunner and not be able to cover him cuz hes tired and end in a count out but austin would win the next one but say what u want austin and cena wont back down from a fight and you said u cant compare austin and cena may not buy wrestling style or mic skills but the fact they will fight any one any where belt on the line or not thats the same and u can compare that

Only if the match were booked that way. Steve Austin is rather old and suffers from a lot of injuries. Cena on the other hand is basically injury free.
I don't think that Austin and Cena would have just one match. It would probably be an extended feud. Austin would first win and then Cena would come back with two wins. If for some reason they were just given one match-up, Austin would put Cena over and pass the baton for the Anti-Establishment Hero.

stone cold would kick cena's ass . cena sucks cena sucks
thedogg001

How does he suck? Explain, don't jump on the Cena sucks train without backing it up. Cena and Stone Cold are limited move wrestlers and thrive off of crowd support and the fact that they are good acters in the ring. Some more talented wrestlers are not good in-ring perfomers. Shelton Benjimen for example. Don't dog without stating some facts. Just sticking out your tongue and saying someone sucks really proves nothing.

he sucks because he just does the same moves over and over and he is a jackass. A ustin would wipe the floor with cena and i would love to see that .

The majority of wrestlers have the same moves. Stone Cold - Stunner, Spinebuster...The Rock Peoples Elbow, Rock Bottom...Try Again.

I think John Cena would kick ass if he went against Stone Cold just for the simple fact that Stone's been outta the game for a while and Cena has a speed advantage... now don't get me wrong I mean I LOVE Stone Cold but that's just how I see it...

Austin's role as a wrestler now should be putting over new talent. Austin didn't have a huge move set himself and was basically considered a great champion because of his stunner and he gave the finger to the audience. He was the rude and crude champion.
Cena is the WWE now and in a match or feud with Austin -- it would be booked to make Cena overpower and comeback for a victory over SCSA. Sorry, but it's true.

I like them both but,Stone Cold has been around a hell of aot longer than cena. Give him time and he will be just as good. But hey Cena may prove everybody wrong.

There is no doubt...no doubt that John Cena is a great champion. The only doubt that exists is whether people accept his character. Some may dislike the Hip-Hop in your face style. I for one say keep it up. Cena has that Stone Cold, HHH quality of liking and hating the man all at the same time.

I am one that likes that hip-hop in your face kind of person. I love the character he is. To me that is what it takes to make it in this dang world anymore. Life sucks sometimes but to live in it you have to be bold and straight up and if you don't like me for who i am than you can kiss my A**! Thats the characters I like. They don't take no [censored] of no one.

Stone Cold would win hands down. Why? simple,
Stone Cold actually is a good Technical wrestler and can brawl. He is ahelluva alot more anti establishment than Cena could ever hope to be.The Stuinner get's hit from everywhere and Stone Cold doesn't have to pump up his damn shoes and last but not least, the Austin Era actually brought in more money in the 1st 2 years than "Hulkamania" did the entire time it was running wild. Cena can't draw the crowd that Stone Cold can. Cena is a "Babyface " right now and even after Stone Cold shook Vince's hand people were still cheering him. Cena can't compete with Stone Cold on any level and " That's the bottom line 'cause the Stone Cold Sailor said so!"
FanNBham

Austin brought more money in during his 1st two years than all of Hulkamania -- That's incorrect. Also there was never a time that was referred to as the "Austin Era." Austin was a part of the Attitude Era along with several other important wrestlers.
You're right that Austin doesn't have to pump up his shoes to go over with the crowd. Austin just gives the Crowd the finger and smashes beers together. It's the same thing.
Finally, Wrestling in Entertainment folks and not a sport. If there were one match between Austin and Cena, Cena would win for the sheer purpose that Cena is the future and Austin is the past. There would be no reason for Austin to win. That's the way Wrestling works. In an extended feud, Austin might win the first match and then Cena would take all the rest.
Older and no longer viable talent is used to put over younger talent. Austin would lose.

O.K., Maybe not in the 1st 2 years but he did make more $ for vince than Hogan did. The reason I refer to it as the Austin era is because when he won the belt from HBK at wrestlemania good ol' J.R. said "The Austin era has begun!"
Austin doesn't smash beers until after the match is over and he usually flips the crowd the bird when the match is over or before it begins. He does however tend to flip the bird to his opponent in the middle of stomping a mudhole in their @ss and walking it dry. I still say Austin takes it. He is one of those guys, like HHH, that the fans cheer whether he is a face or a heel.
