Eveyone seems to love Goren and Eames. It WAS all their show until this season. Hopefully after this season it will go back to being ALL their show. Logan belongs on regular L&O, not CI.

I would definnitely pick Goren and Eames, but you need to give Barek and Logant to evolve as partners. G/E couple have been on the show for a lo-o-o-o-ong time, they developed their wonderful chmistry. Logan have been in L&O shows a while back, and his cvharacter was quite popular. Barek is also not bad. I think thay just need time to work out their relationship, build their characters. But for now Bobby and Alex are definitely in the lead.

For Logan to remain he needs a new partner cuz Anabella is just not a fit for Criminal Intent.

This could be a solution, but she could also morph overtime. I think that now she is simmilar to Goren, but only in the way that they are both profilers and both have sharp intelligence. Goren has this charisma which is unbeatable, supperb to any other character. We'll see what happens to Barek later. Let's give her a chance, shall we?

I've been trying !! The Logan/Barek episodes just dont have the edge that the Goren/Eames eps have. They're flat. I'll give the eps a chance if she shows more life, a robot can do what shes doing. And her hats, who the hell gave her the ok to wear those ?!?!? YIKES !!!

Yeah, I can't say I don't agree with you. Maybe those hats are supposed to provde a bit of a comic relief?

Ok, I know she can act cuz I've seen her in a couple movies and on The Sopranos, but here she just seems boring as hell.

Goren and Eames all the way. I only accept Logan and Barek as a Band-Aid fix to keep Vincent D'Onofrio refreshed enough to hopefully want to continue doing LOCI, no more no less. So far Logan has surprisingly fit in quite well, but Barek... I just haven't connected with her and don't know if I ever will. She has no charisma or personality, she's just BLAH!

I think that adding Logan was a great move to the show i missed him on the L&O when they moved his to SI for being a hard nose cop that he is and now he and Goren could use there diffrenice's in sloving many cases, look at it his way book smart's v street smarts that one hell of a pair don't you think?

Another really good CI tonight -- with Logan and Barek, so there.
Reading back thru the anti-Logan/Barek posts, they look kinda catty. I realize that people are upset not to see more of Goren/Eames -- I like them, too, and it's nice to see how the writers allow their friendship/partnership to evolve without becoming "soapy." But, criticizing Barek for her hat? Has anyone every complained when Goren wears a watch cap? It's cold in New York sometimes!
Which reminds me of some material in the Law & Order guidebook -- somebody is quoted as saying that when Paul Sorvino played Phil Cerreta on the show, he got cold on outdoor shoots, so he wore a big Russian fur hat in some scenes, and it really annoyed people. But he was Paul Sorvino, after all, so he got away with it.
And, on reflection, I guess I understand the catty hat remarks about Barek. When I watched the first few episodes of Law & Order with the new ADA Borgia, I was so disappointed by the new character's blandness, I became incensed when I saw her wearing a hat that Abby Carmichael -- a previous ADA who was anything but bland -- had often been seen wearing. "How dare she wear Abby's hat and be so boring!" I couldn't help thinking.
So let's try to be nice and give the producers, actors and writers a season to settle into the new format. OK? (extends olive branch)

I have actually enjoyed the past 2 Logan/Barek episodes, she's still a lil blah but shes gettin better. Oh, and the hats, they need to give her better ones !!! LMAO !!
I love Logan and Barek is starting to grown on me little by little. Who knows, by the end of the season I may actually like her !!!

I agree, the most recent two Logan/Barek episodes--last night's "Dramma Giocoso" and the one before that "Wasichu" have been the best with these two since "In the Wee Small Hours."
Chris Noth has held up his end of the team, but he's reprising his Logan role from original L&O so it hasn't been that much of a stretch. Maybe it's taken this long for Annabella Sciorra to get her Barek act together? I keep hearing rumors she's outta here after this season, but there's been so many stories going around about whether LOCI will return, who can keep track of them all?
I've decided to wait and see what happens because...you never know for sure until it actually does happen!

I don't have anything against Logan, and I really like the Barek character, but I watch the show for D'Onofrio. I love the relationship between Goren and Eames, too. I never miss the show with Goren, but I can take it or leave it with the others. I know they brought them in because Vincent was overworked, but having those episodes that he isn't in at all is too much. Can't he be a consultant for the others?

I believe there's a thread on this already, but the short version is that Vincent D'Onofrio suffered a series of fainting spells around the end of December, 2005. Doctors diagnosed exhaustion, and the producers and Mr. D'Onofrio agreed he needed a lighter schedule. Mr. Noth and Ms. Sciorra's characters were brought in for the recent season's split schedule.

I feel kinda bad for VDO...all those work problems...

The beginning of the season, I wasn't sure if I was going to like Logan/Barek angle. Logan grew on me, but I'm still not sure about Barek. Overall, I would have to pick Goren/Eames. VDO is the reason why I watch the show anyway. It gives VDO a break so I can't dislike the Logan/Barek thing. If it wasn't for 'the show' doing that, VDO wouldn't be in any shape to do anything.
There is a difference between Goren/Logan that gets me. Logan's stomach isn't 'as strong' as Goren's. I can't remember what the name of the episode was. It was the one with Samantha Mathis as a plastic surgeon. In the opening credits scene, Logan and Barek were called to crime scene with a dead body with the stomach missing. When Logan saw it, he looked like he could 'faint.' If it was Goren, he would be like, 'hey the stomach is missing! Let's poke around here and see if anything else is missing, shall we? Cool!' With Goren used to being in the military and the narcotics division, it probably has seen some gruesome stuff. But Logan has been a cop for many years, you would think he would be used to seeing stuff like that too.
Anyway my ultimate answer would be that I like Goren and Eames better. Carver and Deacon are second, Logan is third, and of Barek is last. I just can't get myself to like that character. I'll have to watch this next season, so the jury is still out on her.

i'm back. after doing this post. i went to a website that i saw going through the other topic.
www.thereelvincentdonofrio.com It tells you who is getting kicked off and what the first episode of the new season is going to be. Barek isn't part of the equation anymore. They are replacing the character. With an actress that was on L&O:Conviction.

Julianne Nicholson is the "Conviction" actress who will replace Annabella Sciorra.
