I know someone recommended a book called "Lucky" before... so i thought i'd reccomend another one called "SPEAK." It's along the same story line. i think they made a movie from the book, too. Like "Lucky," it's about a girl who was raped. It's not really the same type of thing, though. I read this book a while ago, so I may be wrong... but i think there's no investigation, and she knows who did it. But it's more about how she copes and what her friends who don't know think of her afterwards.
just thought i'd tell ya!

OMG I LOVE that book! Speak is probably one of the best books i've ever read. And I've read a lot! If you're into SVU, you will probably love Speak.

Didn't Lifetime do a movie called Speak. Isn't it about a teenager that was raped at a party and didn't tell anyone for a long time?

yea... i didnt want to give away too much so i wasnt gonna mention da partay, but its not that important. the people in her class just get mad at ehr because she wrecked like the best party of the year by calling the cops, but they don't know what happened to her.

Since we are reccomending books i think that if you are into romance novels then you should read the books Flirt and Kissed by Carmen Green. since everyone here watches SVU i'm assuming that we are mature so the content shouldn't be a problem. if you know what i mean.

I will non-recommend (if that's a word)a book...
Don't read "Prep." Pretty...well, um I don't know what to say, has anyone read it? It was popular at my school last spring and summer. The writing is good, the plot is just racy, I guess. I had no clue what it was about and when I read it I was like okayy... I'm just saying this beacuse a lot of people have asked me, "Should I read 'Prep'?" Yeah, so don't.
Some good books, though, are:
-"Leap Day"
-"Sloppy Firsts"
-"Second Helpings"
-"Animal Dreams"
-"The DaVinci Code"

another great but sad book is "The Lovely Bones." Its from the point of view of a little girl in heaven who was raped and murdered. It sounds kind of strange, but its a great book and very well written.

The person who wrote that book came to talk to our school in 7th grade. The only reason I remember is because my name is Katie and I was like woah! She has the same name!
