As a long-time follower of Jared Ashley, I must support him all the way. He deserves the chance at this more than anyone else I've met in Nashville. His talent is undeniable.

Although, I have to be faithful to my dear Chris Young, I really like Jared alot, I think he will go far with his career!!

I really enjoy what I've heard of Jared. While I will be voting for Chris Young as long as he's on the show...and I'm hoping for a win ....I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing Jared.

Please don't "bump" a thread like this to the top for no reason. I'm a HUGE Jared Ashley fan and I want to see Jared do great things on Nashville Star and always. But, either add something to the thread or leave it alone. Those of us that ARE fans...will look through the first two or three pages of threads to check for anything relating to Jared.
I don't think we, as Jared Ashley fans or any of the other 8 contestants, should have to feel the need to create dozens of threads to compete with the Chris Young fans that fill the message boards. The show's winners aren't based on how many threads the fans can start on this board...it's on VOTES.

I have heard Jared's songs and like his look too. I believe he will go far on the show, this is an exciting lineup. I rarely post but do lurk, and I think we have an exciting show lineup. Best of luck to Jared.
I have picked several I hope to see in the Top 4, since they will go on the tour. Kristen, Jewels, Jared, and Chris.

I thought it was nice for her to bump it to the front. For people like me who don't know much about Jared it reminds us that he is around. I would always appreciate anyone who would keep the artists I support in the minds of others who don't know him or her.

Well, I'm sorry to BHarris then. Personally, as a fan of Jared's, I don't want to be lumped in with the Chris Young fans that seem to (and this is a perception, not trying to accuse anyone specifically) post nonsense just to keep a dozen threads on the first page with his name all over it. I also feel that if you would like to "bump" a thread to the top, please have something to add rather than just the word "bump".
Of course, this is not to mention the fact that us "NEWBIE's and STRANGER's" got yelled at by the old timers on the board just a few weeks ago because we did have threads being "bumped" for no reason.

I remember that but alot of those were because people were making ten one post threads for the artists and weren't saying much more than so and so was great. the people on here are constantly bumping threads to help those that haven't seen them find what they might be looking for on the first page because a lot of people won't go past that to read posts.

And everyone can configure how many threads to display per page. I use 30 threads, but some use 40 and some stay with the default which I think is 10. I tend to write something rather than just say "bump", but many others don't. On another note, does Jared have a CD for sale? I'm sure I looked, but I don't remember .

WVG, yes...Jared does have a CD for sale.

The CD contains Jared's original recordings of "Hicktown", "Three Wooden Crosses", and "She Only Smokes When She Drinks". All of which Jared recorded before those songs were recorded by Jason Aldean, Randy Travis and Joe Nichols, respectively. Other songs on the CD that you may have heard Jared perform are: "The Next Glass" (which received some airplay on WSM FM in Nasvhille and on a new music showcase here in Colorado Springs KKCS FM), "Those Are My People", "Shut Your Mouth", "The Cowboy and the Angel", "The Rest Belongs to You", "I Miss It Now" and "Remember the Ride".
All of the songs on Jared's CD - Titled "Bootleg" - can be found on
www.lahotcountry.com as well and can be requested there!

I just wanted to take a moment to apologize for my earlier response. BHarris, I was out of line. I didn't intend to be hurtful or single one person out. In re-reading my earlier post, I realize I was much harsher than I intened to be and I'm very sorry. BHarris was probably trying to help clear some of Chris' many posts off the first page that were bumped up yesterday by bumping other artist threads. Chris and BHarris themselves seem very fair.

I believe you are right on the money with that comment..I think WVG, BHarris and Pop..are suggesting we try to give all the contestants a place to have a thread on the front page...I think there are many NS viewers who come to the board to get a feel for who they are going to vote for..and letting all of you have a say on your thread is important...It would be a turn off to a newcomer of this board to come on and see one or two contestants getting more space than the others..Big turnoff! I have not picked my favorite out yet..I am listening and reading and waiting for the show to begin..What you do here for your favorites can influence others..good and bad..so be good to your artist by being kind to each other...

I must say, it says alot to me that you took the time to apologize for your comment earlier..that shows great character to me..I also want to say that I think Jared has incredible talent..I know you support him 100%... Good luck and I will be looking forward to seeing him on the NS4..As I have said before..I am waiting for a chance to see all this great talent before choosing my favorite..and I am wishing good luck to all.

Thank you for saying that. I'm looking forward to hearing all the contestants as well. It will be nice to have an accurate frame of reference for each contestant.
