I am watching too much CI I think. I am looking for any subtle interaction I can find between the detectives. I like their relationship. They have a nice give and take.
Anyway, I saw this piece between them Monday night and can't quite figure if I heard it right or not. I can't quite figure out the reference or what it meant.
This was the ep with the master burglar, Wes, and his murdering pregnant girlfriend, Sheila (also my name).
Coworker: She wanted her desk moved away from the outlet. Said the smell of electricity made her sick.
Goren: The smell of electricity...
Eames: I thought I could smell moonbeams.
Goren points at her: Oh, when you were pregnant...Well, that's why I was playing it safe...Just wanted to be there for the baby.
Eames: I'm going to cry.
So clearly they are teasing each other. I just don't get it though. Haven't watched so many of these that I understand the backstory on these guys much.

It doesn't make sense to you guys because you got the dialouge wrong.
Here's what was really said:
Goren: The smell of electricity.
Eames: I thought I could smell moonbeams.
Goren, while pointinmg at Eames: Oh, when you were pregnant...Well, that's why he was playing it safe. He wanted to be there for the baby.
Eames: I'm think I'm gonna cry.
Goren was telling Eames that Sheila thought she could "smell" electricity. Eames responded by saying she thought she (Eames) could smell moonbeams (while she was pregnant). Goren and Eames realized Sheila was pregnant because of her smelling odd things, as pregnant women sometimes can. Thus, Goren said Wes was playing it safe with his robberies because Sheila was pregnant. Eames's sarcastic reponse to Wes' playing it safe for the baby: "I think I'm gonna to cry".
Make sense now?

Thanks Vanilla. Very helpful. I am afraid I look too hard for the hidden meaning. Thanks for taking the time.

I've never posted before and I don't know if anyone is still reading this dialogue and I don't know how to ask a new questions, so I'm just going to try this. When I first starting watching LOCI in reruns--I think there was a marathon or something going on--I saw an episode with a dialogue that I haven't ever seen again. Does anyone know what episode it is? Or did I just dream it? Goren and Eames are taking a perp into custody. They are near a car. The man says, "You've got to be joking" (Or something like that. Eames replies "Do you SEE us wearing clown shoes?" Just wondering. I thought that was one of the funniest lines in LOCI ever.
