John Heidenreich was released from his WWE contract earlier today(Jan. 17). According to sources, John checked himself into a hospital several weeks ago claiming he had an ear infection. When the agents went to check up on him and schedule him for the next house show loop, he claimed he couldn't do it anymore and didn't want to be on the road. He then flew home and hasn't been seen since.
Many backstage belie Heidenreich was dealing with some family issues. It may be a case of WWE releasing him so he can take care of some personal business and then return at some point in the future.
Road Warrior Animal is scheduled to work with Matt Hardy in the coming weeks.

I really like Heidenrich and find him funny and entertaining. His current gimmick was a great Family Attraction!
I will be and will always be Heidenrich's friend!

It was shocking to hear that he has left too, it seems that everyone from SD has been slowly leaving. It is so sad, he was a funny guy with his own march

Heidenrich added a lot of spunk to the show in the earlier times and was a great wrestler. I just wish that he could have stayed just a little while longer.

im not sure if you can go as far to say as he was a 'great' wrestler...
he just ur average WWE superstar...

I will fondly remember his contests with Snitsky to see who can look like the biggest whackjob.
I will NOT fondly remember the Legion of Dirt team with Animal, an utter disgrace to the memory of the ACTUAL Legion of Doom.
