I was just wondering if any of you had seen Hugh Laurie and
Stephen Fry in Jeeves and Wooster. I have all four series on DVD and it's hilarious! Hugh was as funny and talented then as he is now. Highly reccomended.

I've seen the COMPLETE JEEVES & WOOSTER on DVD and love it. Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry have such a easy camaraderie; you can tell they love playing off each other. Hugh displays a real gift for physical comedy in these episodes. He seems like a combination of Stan Laurel and Harold Lloyd and is wonderfully goofy. I especially enjoyed his forays into mini-musical numbers and when he dressed up as a maid and then a minstrel in various episodes. I never read the Wodehouse stories; I wonder if Bertie ended up caught in someone's matrimonial net after all that wrangling to disentangle himself in episode after episode?

Yes, it's a brilliant series, and both Fry and Laurie are perfectly cast and give wonderful performances. I've read some of the Jeeves and Wooster stories, and I don't think Bertie ever fell into the clutches of any coniving female.

I have tried to watch this one a few times but I just can't get into it. I loved when HOUSE did the English accent on one of the last two shows, he sounded so VEDDY, VEDDY BRITISH!!

Yup...have seen most and LOVE'EM. I didn't even realize they were out on DVD. I gotta go buy them. If there were 4 series, I know I didn't see all the episodes. Oh goody!!! Some won't be repeats for me!

Off to Best Buy I go.
