Hey Kristin! It is so nice to see you posting on here! Let me ask you....is your personality as bubbly as it seems to be from your pictures? You look like such a warm and outgoing person, and have such a big, beautiful smile, I have no doubt you performed at your very best at the regionals! I checked out your website and loved your music! You have so much talent and potential, but you probably already know that! It never hurts to hear it more though! Right? LOL Anyway, I know you are nervous but just keep the faith! It will all work out for all of you, just stay positive! I wish you lots of luck and will be sending lots of prayers your way girly!

Call me a "Doubting Thomas", call me an ole fuddy duddy, say what you want to but how do you guys know that this is Kristen McNamara? This would not be the first time that someone has come to the board claiming to be who they were not. For those around last year, remember we had Brent Michales wife posting - yea right.....
What confuses me about this is that the contestants have been told not to post on the forum or that is what I have been led to believe.
Just not convinced that this is actually Kristen.....

A few have posted - and, well, I haven't talked to Jen today, but she didn't mention it to me yesterday. And I know she was at least reading the board then.

Yeah, it's safe to assume they can't post if they made it or not. Beyond that, it's safe to assume that once they start taping and then airing shows, forum posting would be forbidden. In the mean time... not sure.

LOL), what makes you think they cannot post on this forum at all? Spanky is in fact, Carrie Furman, right? Doesn't she post all the time? I have noticed other finalists posting too and I don't see why it would be a problem at all. Also, it's a free country and freedom of speech and all that, so nobddy has any legal right to ask somebody not to post at all. Now, they can be asked not to spoil the surprise of WHO makes the show or to keep it clean when they post (since there ARE laws regarding vulgar language and all that), but cannot ask people not to post at all. Please don't take this as a rude post either, because it is not meant that way. I am just trying to understand the logic of why anyone would be asked not to post at all, when some of our finalists have been on this board a while and other posters could become finalists in the future or again in the future maybe. That doesn't make sense to me. I could be wrong of course, and it certainly wouldn't be the first or last time THAT has happened! LOL But, does that make sense to anyone? Also, it is pretty likely that since luckydog gave out cards to everyone after the regionals, a lot of people are going to check out the board that didn't know about it before and also likely that some of them might be the actual finalists themselves. It just doesn't make sense to me that they would ask them not to post at all. It DOES make sense to ask them to stay quiet about who makes it though, especially if legal documents were signed. Pop is speaking from experience here on this board. Also, Casey Simpson had an impersonator on myspace. They posted a notice about it on her web site.

Does anyone know if that's the case? That's an interesting clause in a contractual agreement, then....shows how the modern age has really caught up with entertainment law.

For anyone that may still be questioning whether or not this is really Kristen- I believe that it is because she emailed me in response to my email from her website. I'm sure she received lots of mail yesterday with the confusion and alot of us just found her site for the first time.

You make some very good points in the post and no I'm not taking it the wrong way. Yes other finalist have been posting on this forum BUT you will notice that right now they are luking only (except Sage K. - I saw him posting last night), I guess this could be their choice.
I'm still not convienced about this poster yet, if it is Kristen, that's a good thing. If it's a clone/troll then - - oh well....

Where are you getting your information about regional finalists not being allowed to post? I work with one of them and she doesn't post, but has never heard anything about not being allowed to post...she's just lazy!!

I guess that I'm in error about this, its just something that I thought we were told from NS1 - Maybe it was the contestants "should" stay away from posting on the forum because it gets so negative on there at times... One of the final "Regionalist" told me that he/she/it does not recall being told not to post.... SO POST AWAY My error on the posting....
Taking one bite of "humble crow pie", spiting out one feather.... Got to go now, a lot more crow to eat.... WSAG....

Evidently she's only lazy at work, because she is definitely not lazy on stage. Her Houston performance was outstanding!
I like the outfit!, & the red lining on the inside of the coat tops it off! Real Nice.It's nice to see she has her own idea of style ( or she knows who to listen to) & is not just wearing what everyone else is right now. Her fun side does remind me a bit of Juney Carter.

I have pulled off the internet full versions of "Hold On To Your Heart" and "Restless Heart" from http://www.hhproject.org/sampler/ and I have listened to these with my Sony studio headphones along with the clips off www.kristenmcnamara.com. Then I listened to some Martina McBride. Then I listened to you again. All I can say is Slide over Martina, Kristen's in the house. Your voice is truly awesome. You have me hanging on every note. What a great singer!

She was the very best out of all the females tonight and maybe even the best out of all the finalists! Maybe I just love yodeling too much, but I loved her performance! She was awesome and she showed everything a good entertainer needs to show when she performed tonight! Yeeee Hawwwww! Go Kristin! You got three votes from me! I had to vote for my other favorites too, but you definitely got some from me too! Man! What a performer! I am completely impressed!

She was quite the Pro. There isn't an artist under contract that could have performed that song any better. I do have to wonder why she would choose a song recorded by Patsy Montana back in the 1930's. Nashville Star isn't a talent contest unfortunately. It's a popularity contest and Country music isn't what it used to be i.e. Big & Rich. I think she has two potential hits on her website with “Hey Cowboy” and “Hold On To Your Heart”.
Every female that has sung a Martina McBride song on Nashville Star has fallen short of the mark. It’s a tough standard to measure your self by. I’d like to hear Kristen sing “This One’s For The Girls”. I think she would not only meet the standard but surpass it. I haven’t heard allot from Kristen but from what I have heard she is my favorite female singer period and I love Martina McBride.

I've loved both your song choices but the audio was so poor you couldn't hear your voice on the low notes. That got people saying you just weren't singing the notes! I know you have a powerful voice and hope your song choice this week brings out all the power you have so I can say, "see I told you!"
