Just curious...I was unable to make it to Nashville from California. I haven't seen any reports on how Monique did. Looking for honest opinions.

I can't remember where I saw the comments about her now, but I do remember that all of the comments I read about her and her peformance were really nice! I heard she did a wonderful job and has a beautiful voice! Of course, I had already visited her website and listened to her stuff and thought that anyway! LOL My husband was equally impressed with her beautiful voice! She definitely does an exceptional job with those vocal cords of hers! I didn't get to see the show, but I know a lot of people did. I am sure when they see this, you will start getting more feedback about it. I sure wish I could have been there to watch all of the finalists perform! Every time I thought I had my top ten favorites picked, more websites were posted and I got to hear more of the talent, and then was thoroughly confused again! LOL Monique was one of those that I had found AFTER I made my top ten list and then I had to go and add her as a favorite! Eventually, I just finally gave up because everyone has so much talent and just listening to them on a computer leaves a lot to be desired! LOL Without seeing them perform and the whole big picture of how they perform, it's so hard to make a really accurate choice on who's super good or just really good! The only one I know I love for sure, is Ashley Grutter. But, I have seen her perform live enough times to know for sure she is good and has it all. (And that is my very best UNBIASED opinion I can give! LOL) The rest of them, I only get to admire from afar and will have to keep guessing until the show starts. Monique has a ton of talent though and it is great to see somebody cheering her on!

Thanks for your reply Catwomn220. I've been following Monique since she was a kid and she never fails to bring tears to my eyes (That's a good thing). I just wish I could have gone to see her in Nashville. I agree with you that there is so much talent there. I'm glad I'm not judging (except that I'd vote for Monique of course).

From all accounts of what I have heard from those that were there, I have heard RAVING reviews of Monique. I can't wait to hear her myself!! (My sound is not currently working on my computer...one would think that I would fix that huh?)

I just love it when the opportunity comes up to post something that I know but haven't mentioned yet. And, when it involves someone you know from NS.... Well, that just makes it better. I'll have to end this one with a grin.
I was talking with Monique briefly after the show Friday. I too was talking about how well she had done. Then Jody Evans came up to speak with her - not her going to talk to him, but him walking over to her to tell her how he liked her voice.
What a talented group of Regionalists!

Thanks for all the comments. I knew she would do well, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't being biased. I know she has to be good to have made it this far. Good Luck to ALL ! !

did not get to see Monique in Nashville, however I get to sing with her a few days a week in our band. We fully expect Monique will do quite well and even though we would be losing an amazing singer we wish her the best. good luck Monique.

I got to see Monique perform in Nashville and (while she was incredible) she did not show us all of her talent. I hope to see her on the show. Good Luck to all.

I was at the first show with my son, and I absolutely adored Monique! She did a wonderful job, beautiful voice. I was able to chat briefly with her, and then her father, after the show. I'd hate to be in his position, trying to decide which shows to try getting back to attend!
I posted a thread with judges comments from the show on the main board. When the show show airs, I don't think you'll be disappointed!

Along with JerryL, I got the priviledge to perform with Monique in our band. Not only is she an insanely fantastic vocalist, she's funny as hell! I hope some of her humor gets displayed on Nashville Star along with her vocals. If it doesn't, trust me. This girl is a riot! If she didn't sing so well she could be a comedienne. We had sooo much fun with her. We all love her and wish her the best, and we miss her!
