I didn't see a thread for Melanie Torres so I wanted to start an official one for her. She is such a doll baby! She performed 2nd on Saturday night at the Wildhorse just after Jared Ashley. I've seen Melanie for about a year now and can tell you that she has one heck of a set of pipes on her! you can catch her singing at Tootsies backroom in Nashville. Y'all have got to hear her sing "Red Neck Woman"....man oh man what a woman! Congratulations Mel, you did a stupendous job! Here are a couple of pictures I took at the Wildhorse.

I met Melanie several years ago. She bartended at Tootsie's when my husband played there. She is just precious. Hadn't heard her sing in a while until Sat. night. She did a great job....we wish her the best.
I don't remember seeing a website posted for her? Is there one and I just didn't see it yet? (I know it wasn't posted the last time I checked) I would love to know more about her! I certainly wish her luck and am keeping all of the finalists in my prayers, but I would love to know more about the ones that don't have much info. out there too!

I was wondering the same thing. would love to know more about this very talented artist. anyone out there know anything?

Hello everyone!! Melanie Marie here just dropping a line to say a huge thanks to all posted pictures and for your support! Regionals was a blast and i would do it over again in a heartbeat..But not only were 4 of my buds competing, I had the chance to get to know some very nice folks who i had not met before. It was so nice to see everyone with such friendly faces and good attitudes! I have competed in many contests, pageants, etc and many contestants are not so friendly. The whole purpose is to have fun and may the best man (girl) win!!! Good luck to all and thanks again for all of your support!!

Does she not have anywhere where you can hear her sing or did I somehow miss it on her site? If she sounds as good as she looks, everyone better watch out lol I'm jealous! Good luck girl!

Hi ya'll! I've read through many postings and wanted to know first hand if Melanie is officially a contestant on Nashville Star. I've seen her and a few others at Tootsies and it is just so cool that they may have their final break!!!! Can somebody let me know? Not sure how this works - if the finalist know if they will be on or if they can even say but any info would be greatly appreciated.
The finalists have been notified, but they can't say. We're trying to figure it out by process of elimination It's rumored she made it but nobody really knows.
Thanks Lucymac. Wow the suspense is dreadful! Can't imagine how the contestants must feel!!! so do we wait to find out when the show airs?
Neat pictures thanks for sharing them! and if the rumor mill is correct she is one of the 10. I'm sure everyone would agree I wish USA would at least post the final 10 this month instead of making us all wait!

Where the is everyone? This just might be the best female singer to come out of Nashville Star. She really impressed me and she should be around for some time to come. Great job look forward to a whole lot more.

I have to tell you guys that I think that Melanie Torres has the most beautiful voice. She's got spunk, she's got pizazz and she has the pipes. GO MELANIE!!!
