The tag line of the movie is: "The lucky ones die first." The question is: Is Ted's character lucky or unlucky?

If the movie has Ted in it I would say that WE are the lucky ones!! Surely he will be the hero, he needs it anyway since he has only gotten to solve one case before Monk. I can't wait! I wanna be scared out of my seat!!!
