Well I liked House the first time I saw it. Than the second, third, and fourth time they all seemed to be the same.
Someone has a mysterious illness and the staff runs through a zillion possibilities and finaly with 15 minutes left to the show, they find out whats really wrong with the person.
Oh and Dr. House is a jerk with a heart of gold covered in rust. Great show. Really.
I hope the format changes a bit. I don't mind the jerky doctor role, because after all, he says what we are thinking right?
But hopefuly the plots will develop along a less predictible line.

Hi Bubba here, what do you others think about it?

I tend to agree... I don't know. It's still a cool show because it tackles the most bizzare medical illnesses and it doesn't talk down to it's audience. My opinion...

Did you watch all the episodes? There were a lot of twists and turns in the show, and, there continues to be. There's more to it than just the "doctor" part...a lot more!

HOUSE reminds me of being a teen and watching BEN CASEY, he was alot like House, opinionated, always right, and truly a great diagnostician for his time. Sure, the plot is always the same sequence, different exotic disease each week - but aren't most series formatted the same way?

I've watched House on FOX and some of the episodes shown during the 2nd season are full of twists in the plots. The majority of the episodes are that "predictable" as you said but it's still a great show. In my opinion at least.

Yup, I agree. Despite all of the sub-plots that get thrown into the show, like Volger later on, the episodes are all generally the same. It might seem less like that if there was a bit more failure in House's overall record during the series.

Yep. I started in on that show when it premiered on Fox. Like I said in my first post, I do like the show. I laugh my butt off everytime I watch. But still think it has potential for growth.

I'm still hoping something happens with Sela Ward and House! Plus, I thought the introduction of Vogler and that whole series spiced up the show. Basically, I love the character of House and I like trying to figure out what the patient might have (like I'm going to know!).
Where and how would you like to see the show grow?

I'll give the show its' set-up, but I'm concerned about too much being revealed about House in too little time. He's the great mystery of the show, and I don't want too much known.
I have to confess that I found the Vogler story line highly annoying and unrealistic. And the character inspired some sloppy writing for the other characters. I didn't find him a particularly challenging or interesting enemy for House, just an annoying character.

Hi Patcat,
I was really thrown when they introduced Vogler, but I liked how House and Vogler matched wits. I think the show is progressing just fine (having just watched Fox network's latest epiosde last night).

When a show first starts out it has to attract an audience by doing basically the same thing but if you watched all of the episodes there are a lot of twists involving new characters and information about what happens in the past. It gets better but you just have to keep watching.

I always try & figure out what the patient has too. About the only one I nailed was the Rabies one.
Love the show as it is. About the only thing that could make me happier would be to more House/Wilson/Cuddy. The interactions between these 3 crack me up.

I love "House" but I wish they would play it more than just on Friday nights. I missed the entire first season and they have not been airing it on Fox because of "American Idol".

Yeah, what's with bumping HOUSE (on FOX) Season Two (for AMERICAN IDOL)?? Is it that they don't want to air new episodes until February Sweeps?? NO episode will be on this coming Tuesday (tomorrow) because Pres. Bush is going to give The State of The Union Address and it will be televised on FOX and probably several other broadcast and cable networks/channels!!

They actually did this last year as well, they have these two hour episodes to start the season of AI off and then go back to regular schedule, so next Tuesday House will be back.
At least the Olympics arent getting in the way of new episodes of House. I love the Olympics and all, but man, they are sure gettin in the way of my L & O's.

I hate having to wait for a new House especially with all this suspense after the last new episode. 0I really want to know what happens and they are making us wait 3 weeks. That is terrible!

Yeah I agree it sucks !! It would have been a new episode tonite but you know the prez has his little speach and all the networks hafta critique it, so we get ripped off !!
I remember when they put Greys Anatomy on Sunday night with seven episodes still on the plate for Boston Legal last season, they didnt show those episodes and they moved Boston Legal to Tuesday night, that pissed me off !!! Granted I get to watch Crossing Jordan, but now I dont get to see SVU, ugh networks piss me off so much !!!
