Wow...I'm new here, and I figured there were plenty of others like me who think Mr. D'Onofrio is hot, but wow! I couldn't even read this whole thread before replying...it's so long.
I adore VDO and Goren. I now consider myself a D'Onofriac, even though I only became a full-on fan in the past 3-4 years, since getting hooked on CI.
Some of you described him so well...the description of his voice as dark hazelnut chocolate was magnificent and spot-on. I love watching Vincent in any role, but having him as Goren is a treat because he's on tv all the time. VDO reminds me of my husband, at least the way he looks...his huge physique and his walk, his hands (like several of you have commented). My husband also has a very sexy voice, he's 6'3" and wears a 14 shoe. (You know what they say about men with big feet and big hands....they wear big shoes and big gloves!) One of you quoted the female cop/suspect from the episode "Badge"...I like the thing she says about him not being a pennypincher, because he was so well-dressed and that clothes in his gargantuan size are never on sale.
I also like the know-it-all nerdy side of Goren...I love know-it-alls, especially when they're not snobby about it...Goren isn't a snob, and I'm sure Vincent isn't either.

It's not impossible, but they'd have to go through a lot of character develpment to get to that point. If they tried to move them closer together romantically anytime soon, it would seem forced and would be ill-fated. I was a huge Mulder/Scully fan back in my X-Phile days, and I always felt the chemistry was there between them. They were both sort of androgynous and seemed to fit together well that way. But I don't get that from these two. Now professionally they're the perfect team. He couldn't do what he does so well without her.

I was never a huge X-files fan, though I do like the show, I never saw the later seasons. I was never an M/S shipper either. That's probably cause I had a huge thing for Mulder. Still think he's just so cute though.

Here in the office where I work, this time of year we all bring our Christmas stockings in and hang them in the hallway. Then people come along and put goodies in them all month. A couple of people put up BIG stockings. I was looking at them and thinking, "Nah, a 6' 4" man would never fit. I'm gonna have to find a BIGGER stocking". That's all I want for Christmas!

My trusty sewing machine can make em any size you want. Along with various other items. I also do light prop work and have basic leatherworking skills.

Loved this morning's Today interview. I hope he's actually that happy. I think being a father has mellowed him. Not to mention that's one of the benefits of maturity. A man with experience and a deeper knowledge of himself is just that much hotter.
