I am still catching up on episodes of Monk especially the last season. I somehow missed most if not all of those episodes and I'm now catching up on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
I was just watching the captioned episode and saw Lt. Disher playing the steel pan in the scene where the bridal party is rehearsing in the church. I am from Trinidad and Tobago where the steel pan was invented and is always pleasantly surprised to see it being played in different parts of the world. It is not an easy instrument to play so I was curious as to how Lt. Disher was able to play it, Did he take lessons or was a recording being played and just mimicked the motions of playing??
