Here's a topic to get all the questions and alerts on BN scheduling in one place: When is it on, when do marathons occur, and what happened with online viewing? DVD release info is here too. See the end of the thread for up-to-date listings. All times listed are ET/PT.

Editing this post for the latest news. Here's the short version. Check the end of the thread or press thread for more details:

Season 7: Premieres Thursday, June 6, at 9 p.m. on USA. Burn Notice has been renewed by USA for a 13-episode seventh season. Production on season 7 should begin in spring 2013. USA announced on May 10 that season 7 will be the final season.

Season 6: Premiered Thursday, June 14, 9 p.m. on USA. The summer season contained 10 episodes, with the summer finale airing on August 23. Production on the season began in March 2012 and ended October 2, 2012. Season 6.5 premiered November 8 at 9 p.m. The regular S6.5 time slot is 10 p.m. There are 8 episodes in S6.5: 2 hours on Nov 8, followed by 4 weeks of a 10 p.m. episode (skipping 11/22), ending with 2 hours on December 20.

Season 5: Season 5 contains 18 episodes. The summer portion contained 12 episodes, aired from June to September 2011. Season 5.5 aired from November 3 to December 15, 2011.

Season 6 DVD: Will be released June 2013--Amazon originally said June 4; now says June 11. Available for pre-order on Amazon.

 

As of May 8, season 6 episodes free on USA site and Hulu.

Season 5 DVD: US release, June 5, 2012.
Season 4 DVD: Released June 7, 2011. UK release on December 26, 2011.

BN Airings on USA: See end of thread. Daytime Thursday marathons return in April.

Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe: Available for purchase on iTunes and Amazon Instant Video. DVD and Blu-ray released July 26, 2011.

Other networks: BN reruns also air on the Cloo (formerly Sleuth) channel, which is on some cable/satellite lineups. Reruns on MyNetworkTV channels have ended. However, check your local stations for late night or weekend airings. I just found it on my local NBC affiliate late Saturday after SNL. In addition, the Esquire Network (formerly G4) will begin airing BN reruns when it debuts April 22, 2013. See end of thread for details.

Free online viewing info: Current season episodes are available on Hulu and the USA page online and on cable On Demand. Availability varies. Hulu and the USA site have episodes 30 days after they air on USA. Check your cable On Demand listings for availability there. They should still be available next day. As noted above, S6 available online now, probably for 30 days.

Paid downloads (iTunes/Amazon): If you are willing to pay for episodes, seasons 1-6 are available for purchase on iTunes and Amazon Instant Video, in standard def and hi-def. Episode downloads are available the morning after the episode airs on USA.

Previous seasons: Seasons 1-5 are available for purchase on DVD, Amazon Instant Video, and iTunes. Netflix now has seasons 1-5 both as DVD rental and streaming. You can also check this thread for news of marathons on USA or Cloo.

Burn Notice in other countries: I rarely find info on specific air dates in other countries. If some of our international members have info, please share it in this thread. In the UK, season 5 airs on FXUK starting on Monday, July 16, at 9 pm. The UK S4 DVD release was January 30, 2012. In Canada, SuperChannel started airing season 6 Thursday, July 5, at 8 pm ET. In Australia, Doz reports that S6 started airing on channel one on December 7 at 8:30 pm.

Thanks Karen. This thread is a great idea.

A two hour finale? Wow! That's a first for Burn Notice and a nice Christmas present too.

It just didn't make any sense to me for them to air the finale on December 23rd. I like this idea much better but I do wish there were more episodes. The double episode finale cuts down the number of weeks we get new episodes and it will be a long wait until June.

The time depends on what other original programming USA has. For this run, the only new shows out are Psych and BN, and thus, they have the 10 pm slot on Wednesdays and Thursdays, respectively. During the summer run, there are more original shows, which is why BN was paired with Royal Pains and White Collar with Covert Affairs (did Psych have anything else new with it this summer? Can't remember). So, I think they program the 10 pm hour first and 9 depends on whether or not there is something else new.

I don't know if this is the same marathon but there was one on earlier today. Also, every Wednesday, MyTV is airing BN episodes starting with the Pilot!!!! They show episodes back to back, and this week, they just showed "Hard Bargain" (Season 1). It's not a marathon, I just thought that it might be useful for newbies to try and catch up....

Just know that MyNetworkTV edits for language and sometimes just to make room for ads. They have left out several scenes in the 9 episodes aired so far. And next week they air "False Flag" at 8:00 and then skip the 2 part finale to Season One to air "Breaking and Entering" (first ep of Season 2) at 9:00. Don't know why they chose to skip such a crucial part of Season 1. If you're really a new fan to the show, I'd bite the bullet and buy the DVDs. They are intact and in order!!

I think the episodes airing for the marathon on 12/30 are listed now on Usanetwork schedule. Not that it matters...it's Burn Notice and we'll all be watching!

Yes, they have, Colleen, thanks! Mostly end of season 2, starting with Seek and Destroy, through season 3, but skipping Sins of Omission and End Run. I wish I knew why they skip what they skip. Perhaps someone here has something against Jay Karnes?

I don't know where they get their scheduling ideas either! That is interesting; both Jay Karnes episodes omitted. Hmmmm. He is my favorite villain! I love Alex Carter too; Jason Bly was such a perfect sparring partner for Michael! Wish he'd be back!

Just an addition: Loose Ends 1 and 2 air on MyNetworkTV this Wednesday. So now all newbies can see what happened BEFORE Harlan broke Michael out of jail and how Michael ended up in jail in the first place!

But there's a whole season (some would say the best season) between Loose Ends and Michael getting out of jail.

I am not going to be too much tuned into this concept, nor can speak to what is or is not cut because I don't get the local MyNetwork affiliate on my channel lineup. So, if I seem to ignore it, that's why. I'll be glad when the real reruns revert to USA next fall.

You're absolutely right! I don't know where my head was on that post! It isn't like I haven't watched these eps 1000 times! Maybe I've watched them too many times and now they are all one episode! My apologies to anyone I confused and thanks for the catch!
