Want to bet they are going to go all "Third Reich" on us.
What do you think PETA is going to compare the AKC to this year?
Answer and see if your response gets a chuckle or two.

I love the show and appreciate all the breeders and the efforts they make in continuing to breed beautiful dogs. I do however have a significant issue with the biased judging that has been prevalent in this arena for many years.
Do you really think that there has never been a Golden Retriever that was almost perfect to breed standards, or a Labrador Retriever, or an Akita, or an Alaskan Malamute or the dozens of other breeds that can't compete with the terriers, because they don't match their own breed standards?
I cry foul on this one. There is no way that the current bias (since 1907) can be a reality.
Terrier Group: 45
Sporting Group: 19
Working Group: 15
Non-Sporting Group: 10
Toy Group: 9
Hound Group: 4
Herding Group: 2
Are you serious, there are really no perfect German Shepherds in the world? Only perfect terriers.
I think not.
It's time to rethink this secretive subjective judging and open up the show to objective standards or 100 years from now, the terriers will have 90 wins and the herding group will still only have 4.

Last sentence sort of wrong. The celebratory mood at Westminster, considered the nation's most prestigious show featuring 2,500 dogs, was briefly interrupted when, right before Sadie was to take the title, two protesters stormed Madison Square Garden's center ring holding up signs that read "Mutts Rule" and "Breeders Kill Shelter Dogs' Chances." The "Breeders Kill" slogan was the theme of a PETA ad campaign. The two women were quickly escorted off the premises, and the incident did not appear during the USA Network telecast.

FYI - when Michael Vick's pit bulls were rescued from dog fighting, PETA came out and said that ALL of the dogs should be killed. That's right - killed!! Yet it was breed rescue groups that took the dogs in and rehabilitated them - now ALL of the dogs that PETA wanted to see dead are in happy, loving homes!
Perhaps PETA should change its slogan to reflect what it REALLY does...

PETA has their heart in the right place..but they have become the extremists of Pet Welfare...they should get back to some normalcy and they might make a great organization one day.
Thank you to the USA Network and the hosts for not giving PETA any publicity! PETA showed their true colors at WKC this year - if they actually cared about dogs, they wouldn't terrorize them!

There ARE perfect German SHepards in the world but you won't find them in the show ring. They are out in the world working as police dogs, search and rescue dogs, drug sniffing dogs. The breed standard for the sloping back has made show dogs all but lame. It's a good thing that the good, sturdy, sound stock of working German Shepards doesn't have to conform to the whims of dog fashion.

Wow! Your comparison of PETA to the "KKK" or the "Third Reich" reflects your lack of knowledge on both those organizations.
