If you're on Facebook, "like" The Undershaw Preservation Trust.
They are trying to save/preserve the former home of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Private groups are trying to divide it up and change the structure completely to build multiple homes out of it. Kind of pathetic.

Why would them do that its like a historical sight of awesomeness......................People should stop taking the past for granted.................one day when we don't know anything about the past they'll be sorry

They have recently added the former (childhood) homes of The Beatles to a preservation list-thingy. They have preserved other famous writer's houses, even, so I don't really know what the problem is/was with adding Conan Doyle's home to the list BEFORE it was neglected and subsequently bought out by private contractors.

I know it! - I'm a fan of the beatles. Their music is what kept me sane in high school. but seriously?! Conan Doyle has been around a lot longer!

oh my gosh! I'm so upset... twice a year the local classical music station hosts trips around the world. This fall they are going to New Zealand... and I can't afford to go!!!
I'd rather go to Australia than New Zealand, personally, but it's in the same vicinity! I wish I could go. (then again, I think most of the people who go on those trips are twice my age. but whatever!)

I think this spring thay are going to Turkey and Greece. Which would also be nice!
They went to patagonia recently. and Ireland/Scotland last year. Sound like really nice trips.
Maybe someday I will win the lottery.

^^ Sometimes they do have NCIS-athons. - I haven't watched recently... They used to do 3 eps in a row mon-fri.
Now, unfortunately they do tooo much SVU.

If you have "cloo" channel, they have a lot of NCIS on too.
