hahahah - I think a lot of dogs say that. ^^

Of all the dogs I watch, I think I have some things pretty well figured. Because the dogs only get fed 2 times a day and I eat several times a day, they look at me and say "Why?! That's not fair!" and I tell them, "because I am the human. maybe in your next life you should be one of us."

Of course, it's worse with the dogs whose owners share their food with them. ...I do NOT share human food, especially MY food, with animals. Sorry! Nope. No way!

Heehee I can't say the same.....I don't feed my don't feed my dogs often but I do feed my dog's human food on the occasion.

I don't like dogs that beg. So if they know they're not getting anything from me, they know not to bother. =)

Lol........That's the complete opposite from me.......Dogs can sense my weaken and always know to beg for food from me

I'm guilty of being one of those people. I have shared my food with cats, rats, and dogs. (the rats are my pets. Not some alley rats. I'm not quite that daring) I went to a friend's house and she had 20 cats. As we sat down to eat one of her cats jumped up and started to eat off my plate (she knew who the sucker was) My friend was horrified and tried to take the cat down. I told her to leave her cuz it was just like eating at home.

lol - I stopped reading that sentence too soon and all I got was: "As we sat down to eat one of her cats" - Wait! What? Oh there's more to that sentence.

I would share my food with a pet rat. but they are little and live in cages. So they can't invade my space like a dog does. - I used to occasionally share my food with my cat. She liked goldfish crackers. But in her last years she had infammatory bowel disease (caused by feeding kibble) and foods made her very sick. Anything other than a raw meat diet caused her to vomit like the kid in the exorcist. (No joke!)

yes, my poor kitty. she suffered with a bad tummy for 4 years before it finally beat us. Had to eventually put her to sleep because the lack of nutrition staying down and absorbing into her system started causing too much damage. Kidney failure. etc.


My first cat died from diabeties. Caused by feeding kibble! I will NEVER feed that poison to my pets ever again. Can't believe they're allowed to market that crap!

I'm sorry to hear about your cats. My vet suggested a raw meat diet but my cats looked at it like "what would you like me to do with this and where's my real food?"

We used to feed my cats Science Diet its not kibble but you prolly need the weight control on because my cat got fat on that even with weight control........she didn't have any problems with it either she lived to be about 17

some cats are really hard to transistion to raw food. like your cat, they just don't understand it's food. I belong to a yahoo-email group that is very helpful with that kind of stuff.

the weight problems come from the stuff they put in the food. the "weight control" is usually counter productive with all the carbs they throw in it.

I'm glad your cat was ok on it. Some cats aren't negatively affected. Many cats are.

I guess I was lucky................four cats first one die via dryer the second leukemia the third hyper(hypo)thyroidism and the last something in her lung all except the first had to be euthanized...........

My kitties mean everything to me. I miss them so much.
I can't wait until I can get another cat. (First, I need a job where I can stay home. ...instead of always being off taking care of other people's animals.)

I want to get another cat but right now we have two dogs, two Chinese water dragons, and a turtle......and my mum doesn't want another cat

I had four cats that I had to give up when I got evicted. That was a horrible thing, but I could not take them with me. I got them into a shelter, but they have all passed away. I live with my goddaughter and she has a cat, but he's not mine. I can't wait until I can get my own kitties. I miss my four kitties everyday. Right now I have 4 rats and a gerbil. They are all sweet boys, but it's not same as kitties.
