Well I'm happy I'm in the middle of a forgiving bunch Now I'm the crazy person who has little pineapples lining the top of her computer monitor at work. (not the most comforting feeling when people start wondering about the office shrink!)
What's so funny is that I've always hated interrogation rooms, but now I really don't mind them at all!
Most importantly, I'm glad to have the forgiveness of an officer of the CMP^2
If you love Psych (and Pineapples), then that's all that matters!

lol! You even have the forgiveness of the CXO... now I've always loved it, but since the obsession is still fresh, I sorta get where you're coming from.... but only sorta...

I started out as a passive fan. Spelling Bee was on during a marathon and I was in a lazy mood so I watched it. I then watched a few more. Eventually my husband started watching with me and I slowly became hooked. By the time this season came out, we were watching regularly. I don't think it was until the second half of the season that I became a big fan. I think my first squee moment was when I saw the preview for Lassie Did A Bad Bad Thing. It wasn't until I saw Yang that I decided to start checking out the message boards and fan communities online.

To PSYCHRULZ:
You aren't the only person that initially had a bad reaction to the show. I've been a "Monk" fan since they first aired the pilot episode, so I remember when the first "Psych" commercials aired. Originally I thought, "Oh great. Another 'Monk' rip-off show with a brilliant 'defective' type detective." I tried watching parts of first season episodes and thought it was too close to slapstick for my taste.
A few years go by, and Monk has gone downhill lately (sorry, love the character, don't like what the writers have done with the show). Nothing was on TV and I saw "Lassie Did a Bad Bad Thing" listed on my guide. I thought, "Oh what the hell. I'll try watching it again." For some reason, I really liked Tim Omundson as Lassiter (I remembered him from Deadwood), and saw that the show's humor was much more sophisticated that I originally thought. I began thinking, "Hey that was pretty good. I'll bet the show started out awkward but has since hit it's stride. Wonder if the characters have evolved since the pilot? Think I'll check it out." I bought a used first season DVD set, and I've been hooked ever since.
So for all you Shawn fans, it was Tim Omundson that got me hooked. Gotta show Lassie some love! I also thought the "Mr. Bean" reference from "American Duos" was one of the funniest jokes I've heard on TV in a long time.

I fell in love with Psych when I saw the first commercial. I absolutely loved the one where he was talking to Monk in the police station. I've been watching ever since.

i have been watching Psych since the first episode...i fell in love with the show then and have been telling all my friends that they really need to check it out. it is a great way to spend the evening laughing and looking for pineapples! i hope that USA network will realize that they have a great show on and will keep it going for years to come! One of the things that i find so interesting is the writing....they come up with some very obscure 80's references...some i have had to go online to find out about. not many shows will send you to the internet to follow their thread of thought...i love it!

I'm pretty sure I never gave my answer to this question... so here it is:
Been watching since the first episode and loved it from the beginning. My parents were Monk fans, and I occasionally watched those episodes (what else was on that early on Friday night?)... when they were advertising Psych I thought "I want to watch *that*!"
Been a Psych fan ever since.

Well, my mom saw the pilot, then told my dad and they saw a rerun, and then they liked the show (and they'd watch monk occasionally) but then they got kind of hooked on psych, and I actually was a die hard fan when the second half of season one premiered. This topic is so nostalgic... it makes me think of the prmier of "Scary Sherry: Bianca's Toast" ahh good old season one! (But Season two totally won me over, it was so BA!)

I was completely bored one day and channel surfing, when I stopped on Psych and it was so funny I just had to see what it was. It was a season 3 episode and I liked it so much I knew I had to keep watching it. So I ordered seasons 1 and 2 on dvd. And now it is my favorite show!

My junior year of high school (06-07), we got a new band director who was into weird/obscure things and when he would make a reference to something like Monty Python, I was the only one who would get it. I had been a House fan since its second season and he was one as well. One day, he mentioned Psych, but I had no idea what he was talking about, so he suggested that I check it out. This was during the off-season, so there were some reruns on from the end of the first season and I liked it. I kept watching the show a few episodes into the second season but then forgot about it, and I don't remember exactly why. Since going to university, I've gotten into several TV shows. What I did is I would choose a new show that people talk about and then proceed to watch every single episode online. I did this with Scrubs, Dexter, The Office, How I Met Your Mother, and Arrested Development. I tried getting into a few other shows, like The Big Bang Theory, 30 Rock, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, but I just couldn't get into those as much. Then on Monday, I'm not sure what sparked this, but I decided that I should watch Psych from the beginning. I finished season three Friday night and must say that this is one of the best shows I've ever seen.

How did I discover Psych ... ? It actually wasn't that long ago ... I caught a repeat of Earth, Wind and ... Wait for It ... the Saturday after it came out ... and I set a season recording and went and watched every previous episode online. :] In that short amount of time, I've become such a fan that my friends refuse to watch it because I talk about it so much. XD

Wow, it was really recently...My roommate last year mentioned that it was a good show, and I think I caught an episode or two with her, but never really sat down to watch it. A couple of months ago, though, I was procrastinating my way through midterms and decided to watch whatever full episodes were on the Psych site. It was "Lassie Did a Bad, Bad Thing" and "Six Feet Under the Sea" that got me hooked enough to buy the first two seasons on DVD...and now I am here - a full-fledged fan!

I've been watching Psych since the very beginning. I'll never forget those commercials with Shawn running down the alley from the pilot, advertising Psych for July. I was impatient ALLLLLL summer.

i saw the pilot of psych when the show started, and i thought it was absolutely hilarious. psych then just somehow dropped off my radar till the end of season two when i "watched" the season finale (i was on the phone the whole time). so i got online and watched the full episodes online to sort of catch myself up, then i bought the season 1 (then later 2 the day it came out >_>) and watched them all immediately, and i've been ridiculously hooked ever since.
