That is cute, I find it ironic that cats will get their paws wet yet some will almost claw your eyes out if you even try to give them a bath.
Speaking of cats, here's a link that has a pic of a cat sporting a "lion cut". Apparently the groomer misheard the owner (they really wanted a line cut). Poor kitty!

I know isn't it awful? How's the poor kitty gonna stay warm?

I think the weather may be beginning to swing toward more spring-like conditions. Our cat, "Kitty Girl", starts to lie up on the tall dresser when it gets warmer...not sure why.

I swear Kitty Girl and Macy are sisters...
Looks a little like our cat, Abby. She's a bit of a pain sometimes cause she insists on getting under my feet and trip easily, but I owe her alot. A year ago my oldest son's cat, Sassy was dying from a brain tumor. We adopted Abby cause she wouldn't leave our back door. She seemed to understand that Andrew belonged to Sassy and she needed to keep her place. The day Sassy started having the seizures that ended it, she sat quietly out of the way while we tried to make her comfortable. That night, for the first time, Abby started sleeping with Andrew. Sassy had stayed with him everynight for so long. Abby seemed to know that he was alone and needed her. Now she is always with him when he's home and waiting for him when he's not. They are best friends.

Such a pretty kitty.
Thanks! She's a pretty little girl with a big nasty attitude, but we love her.

Isn't that just amazing, KT? Macy is so beautiful! She has a perfect Maine Coon "M" on her forehead!
Our best guess is that Kitty Girl is around 8 years old...we found her in a parking garage at the Oklahoma City airport. Has Macy ever been to Oklahoma?

I love the name Abby. She sounds like a sweetheart! Animals are amazing in their intuitive abilities! Kitty Girl loves my husband, tolerates me (most of the time) and hates every other living thing. She has chased off solicitors, cornered my sister behind a door, and scared off a cat sitter. To quote a line from " Bringing up Baby", "That cat's bad!" The strangest thing, though, is that she was so easy going with my Dad, who stayed with us for extended periods of time after suffering a stroke. She would sit behind him on the back of his chair and let him pat her, and he could push her out of the way with his cane if she was getting under foot and she'd just gently move away. She never so much as gave a dirty look his way...and she can give some good stink-eye! I think she understood his disabilities and had empathy for him. I just think animals are amazing!

Very pretty kitty. Reminds me of my cat only she's got more white fur on her stomach.

Thanks, lady_m! When Kitty Girl stands up, she does have some white on her belly. We don't have enough bandages in the house to handle the remifications of anyone petting said belly, though. She'll let you look, but you cannot touch!

That's completely the opposite of my kitty, she loves it. She'll flop down on the kitchen floor and roll around when you pet her belly.

That is a touching, heart-warming story. Animals have brought so much love into my life, and made me a better person.

Awe...so sweet! I wish we had a nice kitty, but we love her despite her lack of social graces.
She's cute yes, but when you're trying to do something and she won't shut up, lol

Nope...but her mama may have been, haha. She was a stray who gave birth to 5 kittens in my m.i.l.'s garage and that's where we got Macy from. I loved the "M" on her forehead, that's how she got her name.

Oh, I bet Macy was a cute kitten! We never got to see Kitty Girl as a little kitten. The vet said she was between 9-12 months old when we found her.
