Well doc is pretty sure it isn't cancer or ringworm, but won't totally rule it out. He is pretty sure it might be an infected scratch, since Mina has been known to scratch him in the face, and we know cats claws carry germs from the litter box. So he is on antibotics and anti-inflamatories and compresses to the eye. Doc says that is the worse place for anything to occur that would need surgery, so lets hope this is all it is.
Good to hear, I hate it when pooches (or other animals for that matter) are in pain All the best TFM

I have a five month old Airedale Terrier who is quite active. We're dog sitting a friends beagle puppy. It was quite humerous when they met last night. My dog, Scotty, is about three times the size of the beagle. Molly, the beagle, is cute, though.

An Airedale is like Asta from the "Thin Man" movies, right? They are so cute and bouncy! Post a pic so we can see your sweety.

I would love to see a pic of your dog too jc. I haven't seen one of those in years. They're the big ones yeah? They are nice dogs and so different looking. Very cute.

Oh Yea Gallup loves snow!! He eats just about anything he can get in to his mouth lol. We caught him eating small rocks, sticks, walnuts, paper, he even thinks ice cubes are a treat and loves them no matter how cold it is outside. Oh course some things his tummy can't handle and then he pukes them up on my carpet, which is not fun.

That's great news, Jryan.
Now, Mina, you keep your little kitty paws to yourself, sweet pea!

There was a two week span where Scotty kept eating random dead animal carcasses that he would find. They would make him very sick and he would throw up all over his crate. The last thing that he ate was a bird. When it cam back up, it was very identifiable.

Here's Scotty. He's an Airedale Terrier. This was taken before we left to see my family sometime around Christmas. I wanted to get a picture of him with his sweater on. Sorry the pics are so big:
Scotty is just a puppy. Here's how he will look when he gets older:

Scotty is very cute. As is his sweater.
Thank you. I typically don't dress him up, but I though that since it was a special occasion (and since the sweater cost about $20 and I promised hubby that he would wear it) that I would. I really like the sweater, and I kind of wish that I had one like it (I typically would not spend that much $$, but I'm hoping that we can get 'family' pictures done).
I'm glad that I put it on him, too. It ended up getting fairly cold outside, and we really weren't able to take him into the house that we were at. So we left him in the car. He did well though. Airedales are typically house dogs because they like people, but they are very resillent in cold temps, too.

I have only "met" one Airedale but he was just so handsome and so friendly. I fell in love.

Oh that sounds nasty but then my dogs will still eat "poop" which really drives me nuts.

Hi everyone. I've been busy and away from the computer for a bit, but I thought I'd share some of the pictures I took last week when we had our "big snow". Okay, it was just a couple of inches, but in North Carolina, any snow is "big snow". I've turned into a winter weather wimp. But I'm OK with that. LOL
Mandy. My sweet old girl.
Gracie's first snow... she couldn't get enough of it!

Calvin didn't know what to make of it all.
The boys are getting so big.
They are all so cute, pfchristine! Wow...I can't believe NC has gotten a good snowfall and the DC area has only seen a few passing flurries this winter. We may get some accumulation Tuesday. I hope so. I need a snow day!

We never get enough snow here in North Carolina for "the snowplough", but Mandy used to do that when she was a youngster and we lived in the Catskills in New York. She also would go splashing in the creek behind our property in the dead of winter. She come back wearing a halo of icicles like those swimming monkeys on Mt Fuji.
